Nightshade's notes: I love fairy tales, and there's something about Little Red that just holds so much potential. I was looking for ideas for more protective listener characters, and what better than to flip the script on the supposedly predatory big bad wolf? A protective, caring, misunderstood wolf person who's been keeping Red Riding Hood safe all this time? Sign me up!
So I posted the prompt during a VA appreciation event, and Rainmimi did me the great honor of writing this amazing script! It's so touching and emotional. I loved it the moment I laid eyes on it. I believe it'll be publicly available after this, so other VAs will get their shot at it, too! Perhaps @RainmimiASMR herself will perform it? (I don't know if she plans to, but you should check her out!)

This takes me back to enjoying Sarah Blakley-Cartwright's "Red Riding Hood" as a teenager.🐺Funny, it isn't uncommon to the see Red Riding Hood/Big Bad Wolf pairing be reinvented as romantic, but this is one of the few takes of such a dynamic being bittersweet. 💔

The freedom to choose is the right of every living creature, and they stole that from her. I don't agree with faking her death, but running away with "Wolfie" does seem to be the best choice regarding her happiness because of the freedom it brings. Wolfie should get her a few greenhouses for growing her own food, as well as a hobbit hole and maybe hydroelectricity. I'd even help the two of them seek this freedom if I could.

Got mixed feelings about this one. Don't get me wrong - love the script flipping idea for old fairy tales and this one is not the first one bringing joy in this "genre" but we got some "itching" inconsistencies here. Nothing major but still....
I mean - she's clearly caring person, devoid of hatred towards her mother and understanding for the decisions her mother made. Yet, she's going to send her mom into excruciating torment of a child loss, something, in my opinion, no parent should ever experience. Especially good one and her mother is presented as a decent person - caring for grandma and for the future of her daughter. Also, it is mentioned that every animal loss is automatically blamed on the Wolfie so when villagers discover torn hood, there will be massive hunt for man-eating wolf. If our couple don't move the hell far away, our protagonist will be young widow very soon. And if they indeed move far away enough to avoid ensuing wolf slaughter (poor other wolfs living in the area), she wont be able to visit her grandma too often if at all. At least, not often enough to provide support old person might need.
And lastly - she won't tell her mom but tell her grandma and expect that her grandma will not use this information to console her grieving child? Because mom will surely grieve and I doubt grandma will resist the urge to ease her mind.
Just running away, while leaving note that she chose another man, without stating his identity, would be far less harmful for all parties involved and less risky or the future of these two.

Okay let me ask you a question is the listener permanently like the big bad wolf in the story or can they take on a human form when they drain enough of their supernatural energy and if that is true or not maybe if there is a part two they can come and visit Little Red at the wedding and little red won't be able to notice them
I don't think there's going to be a wedding in the village, given how the audio ends, but that's a cool idea. Terribly tragic - probably too tragic for me! But to answer your question, I personally imagine the listener as a wolf person similar to the speaker in this audio: ruclips.net/video/3PrFd_xTEEo/видео.html - Mostly human, some physical wolf features, and more wolf-like instincts. But I don't know if Rainmimi had something else in mind, and I like the idea that anyone can imagine whatever works best for them. ❤️ 🐺
