I go to many food pantries, the beginning of the month I mostly run out of money on social security day and I get more out of the dumpster than really anywhere else! Cool video! I know sardines are a super food but I’m a big baby and I can’t bring myself to try them 😅 my daughter took me shopping at Aldi today. We did pretty good. Then got a few things at Walmart. Very grateful for her help 🙌🏻❤
Those loaf cakes from Dollar Store are surprisingly good. I like the chocolate one and I top it with German chocolate frosting. Dollar Store had great value for cookies and other treats. Oh, the mint cookies are fantastic.
There's no such thing as a cheap apartment anymore. You have to make 3x the amount of rent. Cheapest studio around here is $1300 and it's worse other places. Can't even get on the waiting list for affordable housing it's been closed for 3 years. Seniors and/or disabled it doesn't matter. Social security can't even cover a roof over your head anymore.

I use baking soda mixed with hydrogen peroxide, not baking powder.

Exactly right. Between rent, utilities, food, gas, extra stuff for household expenses it's very hard.

I agree about the notebook. Rhoda needs to get a small fire extinguisher for her apartment just in case.
