Relieved to see another artist who records smack in the middle of the setup, not an isolated booth away from everything. I can’t get into it in a booth, lol. It doesn’t feel real, but standing in the middle of all the instruments, mixers it feels like a live performance. 😂❤❤❤
Excellent. I've been on SO for going on two years and I'm enjoying the journey and getting my skills improved every week. This is a great example of what this DAW can enable a person to achieve with it.
Wow, this is highly inspirational. Not even so much the tools he uses, but the passion with which he makes music. Not programming music, but actually making music! I immediately remodelled my studio a bit, so I can jam even more. And someday I'll also buy one of those microphones for happy accidents. Thanks for this video!
i loved this video, i'm a great fan of Studio One and im so proud seeing this kind of inspirational video. i can feel in this exactly what i feel when i turn on studio one and start creating music, that kind of vibe !
Scratch Pad is perhaps the least talked about feature in SO. It's incredible. No more keeping all those messy events off to the side of your timeline for ideas. Being able to create unlimited amount of Scratch Pads for your project is a huge plus. I can't live without it.
Damn right, I've a template with some of my most used sounds and instruments loaded with some FX channels Bus channels etc. With several Midi drum patterns for Kick, Hihat etc. allows me to work faster. Just drag and drop MIDIs from the scratch pad once I already have the drum sounds I need. Also some ear candy stuff to get the idea flowing.
Try select all > copy > paste to copy a complete arrangement to a Scratch Pad and do a new mix or extended version. You can even export/mixdown from there.
He's talking about a feature in SO that is always capturing your noodling/playing even if you don't engage record. It's there in the background if you happen to have that one moment you may not to be able to replicate. Just call it up and now you have it.
guys does anyone know how to enable this? I keep on searching for "capture midi studio one" and I get videos of dudes spending 5 minutes explaining how to record midi :/
Josh Cumbee. He's had an impressive career working with prominent artists in the music industry! You can learn more about Josh here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Cumbee
Would be nice if a guitarist or singer guitarist would do this instead of horrible stuff like this. I’m so tired of electronic “musicians”, rappers, sampling and other non musicians.
We appreciate you wanting to see more guitarists in content like this. Who would you suggest for an episode? We love featuring musicians, artists, and producers from all genres -- and believe they all play a huge role in the industry.
A very beautiful piece of music.

Everyone has their own flow!
Josh you have to finish this track ASAP! I love it 😭
Right?! That's what we're saying!
Everything is "Juicy" with Josh
I love Studio One. If Studio One could cook, I'd marry it.
✍ next update, make it cook...
@@presonus sound good to me😍✍ i can't wait
Just installed S1, Audiobox 96, Presonus headphones and Eris speakers.
Amazing! We hope you love it!
Here before Studio One is the goat :)

So happy to hear that you're enjoying Studio One!
I will always love S1! Man just got the Eros couple months ago and they are so sick!
So happy you like Studio One! What genre of music do you work with??
The way artist handle studio one, makes my passion more for production.
Love the size of that screen!
RIGHT?!
This is the best brief exploration video so far!
🔥 happy you like it!
I like this type of series. He is so into the production with lots of positive smile. Enjoying watching it. Samples 😍
Glad you like this series! Should we keep it going?
This video is incredibly inspiring! Thanks, Josh.
It was fun to watch this guy work.
Right?! Too fun!

It's so fun to watch others creating and exploring ideas!

Man that studio with huge display is really sick... I wish I had one like that 😅
Right??
@@presonushell yeah!!!😅
Shut up and take my money … oh wait you already have it 😅. Love S1 and the people making it. You are the goat!

Thank you for sharing! Perhaps we should be talking about scratch pad more!

beautiful
Love the creativity...
It's so much fun to watch him pull the idea together!
Certified banger 🔥
💯 facts.
I’m curious what he uses the Wacom tablet for. I rarely see folks use it for music production.
Josh uses the tablet in place of a standard mouse because to him it feels more natural and easy on his wrists :)
Great video….what keyboard is he using?
Has Josh finished and released the song? I REALLY love this song!
Awesome song. What is he writing on? Is that an alternate mouse function? A Studio One feature?
He's writing on a drawing tablet. I believe this one was by Wacom. He stated this is easier on his wrists during long sessions!
Thank you. Trying out Studio One because of this video. Thanks
Love it, dude! You got a great voice, and I love the energy you got going on 😊
Josh is super talented!
Where is the full track 😮 ?
It's such a jam right?!
Inspirational!
Yes!! Hope this inspires you to create.
How do I capture the midi staright to audio like he did in the video?
CooL but we need pitch automation on audio and midi clip and in sampler one
What would you do with it?
🔥
Soo creative!!!
Really inspiring ❤️! Love this series
Happy you're loving it! Who should we include in future episodes?
@@presonus how about Kurt Hugo Schneider? 👀 I've seen him use studio one ! Makes some of the best content❤️
Theres should be an option to add fades to samples in Sample one and impact xt.
very nice video!!
Happy you love it!
This is awesome
Glad you enjoy it!
What’s your stylus and track pad?
Are you using a projector as a DAW screen?
It's a large LED screen in this particular studio :)
@@presonus Thanks for the quick reply.
what's the difference between "capture" midi and "record" midi?
He's talking about a feature in SO that is always capturing your noodling/playing even if you don't engage record. It's there in the background if you happen to have that one moment you may not to be able to replicate. Just call it up and now you have it.
@@Tyrell_Corp2019 -they did a feature maybe a short about that feature, its kinda hidden- I believe you must engage it it is not default on
@@Michael.debruyn I've only needed it once. I believe it's always "on" if you check the box for it in preferences. :)
thanks guys. will have to look for this feature, sounds like a really valuable thing.
guys does anyone know how to enable this? I keep on searching for "capture midi studio one" and I get videos of dudes spending 5 minutes explaining how to record midi :/
What is that drum he is using at 2:50?
He "drummed" on a road case, then put it through Red Light Distortion for extra vibe and texture!
Would love to see a proper movie composer using the software in this series.
I m the only one who instantly recognized this chord progression from DUNE Soundtrack "Visions of Chani" ?
прикольный трек будет
More of these types of videos from different creators. We learn more observing others use than just talking about features.
We'll look into doing more episodes! Glad you like this!
"I'm not the best musician in the world". I DON'T AGREE!!
He's solid, right?!
Ok there's hope!🤓 He's very off tempo with his hand drumming LOL. Ended up a great track of course.
IS anyone actually listening music nowdays? Dude said he is not best musician in the world... Liar lol
If he can make music with madonna i can make music with the pope
I'd listen to that. 😏
