Happy Days and Sunshine - a brief history of the Santa Monica Pier from 1992

This documentary was produced in 1992 by the Santa Monica Pier Restoration Corporation and provides a brief history of the Pier with historical photos and video. The film was created prior to the construction and opening of Pacific Park and provides context to the Pier's historical significance as 'the last great pleasure pier' in California as well as sets the stage for the next chapter in the Pier's path to becoming the world-class entertainment destination it is today.
