HEY ALEX PLZ REACT TO SLIPKNOT PURITY AND OPIUM OF THE PEOPLE and SYSTEM OF A DOWN MIND (since 2018 im suggesting this song, and also after the studio audio do the 1997 live version and the BDO 2002, the 1997 I love Serjs vocals on it but the quality is bad and the instrumental sounds weird but it's fire and the BDO 2002 IS. INSANE so good, do both) I miss some slipknot and SOAD
I am half Japanese and I grew up in Japan, but I remember when this band came on the Japanese indies metalcore scene, it made WAVES. Japan adopted the sound of djent-metalcore later than the US and UK bands, but when it came in it had the same thing where a lot of cookie cutter bands came out. And then they came with the hardcore energy, weird ass electronics and hardcore energy. It was a breath of fresh air to a sound that has once become stale and had been getting stale again. Fucking love Paledusk.
FALILV are opposite…here in Japan they are popular among those who are sick with Japan's humid climate and want music to blow it off. Their electronic sequences and vocodered cleans are put to "detoxify" talk-about-rock-isque organic excitement their instruments and growls bring.
Fucking love Paledusk! So much creativity and fun 🖤 Glad to see you give them some exposure cause they so deserve all the attention. One of the most exciting bands around at the moment. Also No! is one of my favourites but I usually don’t recommend it for reactions because it’s so short and I want people to see as much of this band as possible 😆 But so glad you checked it out!
Please react to Under The Knife by Icon For Hire. They’re on tour right now, actual story from the concert I was at Saturday: Person in the crowd yells “You saved my life” Ariel: “You saved your own life because you’re a badass”
You should check out Imperial Circus Dead Decadence, Either 'Uta' or 'Yomi Yori', they are a japanese melodic death metal band, they recently dropped a new album too but you cant go wrong with those two.
I recommend you checking out some Maximum The Hormone songs if you didn't yet, like Shimi - that's a fun ride. Actually you can listen to the entire album Bu-ikikaesu...
D.I.D. , Nocturnal Bloodlust, Dir En Grey , Dexcore, DEVILOOF , there are soooo many underrated bands yall needa check out. Japan has some one the best heavy metal bands 🤟
You should react to Von Raven - The moment you die(Norway) Pagan's mind - God's Equation(Norway) Serj Tankian - Harakiri System of a Down - Boom! Corey Taylor - Spit it out(acoustic) Alestorm - The sunk'n Norwegian(Scotland) Rammstein - Keine Lust Audrey Horne - Redemption Blues(Norway, support: for Stone Sour in 2012) Volbeat - Evelyn Stone Sour - 30/30 - 150 Brainstorm - Falling Spiral Down(Germany) Lordi - Hard Rock Hallelujah(Finland MGP winner 2006) Korpiklaani - levan Polka (Finland) AC/DC - Rock N Roll Train(live at River Plate 09) Requinox - Raiders of the Holy Island(Norway) Nemesis - The War is On(Serbia) Sinsaenum - Splendor and Agony Satyricon - Black Crow on a Tombstone(Norway) Amon Amarth - Cry of the Black Birds Okilly Dokilly - White Wine Spritzer(they dress-up as Ned Flanders) Dreampilots - Comedown(Norway, not metal, but worth a listen) Disturbed - Darkness Gorgoroth - Carving a giant(Norway) Amy Lee - Kyle quit the band Tenacious D cover Iron Maiden - Empire of the Clouds(lyrics video) Heaven and Hell - The Devil You Know(album) Scars on Broadway - Scars on Broadway (Album)
I didn't even know you were reacting to Paledusk but I had a feeling it was going to be them when you said INSANE Japanese metal band. Hahahaha! I've always thought of them as Crystal Lake on acid. You don't know what the fuck is going on but you dig it for some crazy reason.
Staying on a Japanese theme, I'm pretty sure RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR (songs like Welcame, Samurai Spirit, Legacy of Shi) would get a good reaction. They're a French band with a rap/metal/hardcore style and Japanese pop culture influences. French weebs doing metal, whodathunk?
PLZ REACT TO SLIPKNOT PURITY AND OPIUM OF THE PEOPLE(miss slipknot reactions) and SYSTEM OF A DOWN MIND (since 2018 im suggesting this song, and also after the studio audio do the 1997 live version and the BDO 2002, the 1997 I love Serjs vocals on it but the quality is bad and the instrumental sounds weird but it's fire and the BDO 2002 IS. INSANE so good, do both) I miss some slipknot and SOAD
Japan has one of the three best music scenes in the world along with Germany and the USA, but is consistently overlooked and underated. More people need to hear Japanese bands. I've never heard of this band, and while I can't say I'm a fan (personal preference-don't like core), I think it's great to share them as it might open the gates to more Japanese music. I do think the thing that separates Japanese music from other music is not necessarily different instruments (though some bands do incorporate traditional Japanese instruments) but dedication to their craft and innovation. In the 80s Japan developed their own style of metal, called "Visual Kei" spearheaded by the band X Japan (it wouldn't be wrong to say that this band spearheaded the entire Japanese metal movement). Visual Kei isn't so much a genre as it is a visual movement (just do a google image search and you'll know exactly what I mean). Musically, it takes influence from all metal genres, punk, goth, alternative, electronic, and pop. It's hard to categorize Visual Kei as a singular genre as each band has different musical influences, however the unique vocal style is something consistent across bands. Some recommendations: X Japan - Kurenai Malice Mizer - Bel Air Kuroyume - For Dear Gargoyle - Kiba Versailles - Masquerade Dir en Grey - Vinushka
