Finally a review on the 2025 version, I’ve been looking for a video like this! I’m currently taking my written test to get my permit once I get my permit I’m going to get this beauty as my first bike! Thank you so much for this review!
R3 is a great bike people. Stop caring about how big the engine is! It is not about that. It’s about enjoying the ride. This bike is a blast to ride. ❤ don’t go broke for a motorcycle.
I have been riding an R3 since 2023. I came off of a back injury which prevented from riding my R6. It is a fantastic little bike. I am now able to ride the R6 again but I have more fun riding a slow bike fast then a fast bike slow. My commute is 45 minutes one way. Speed limit runs from 35 Mph to 55 Mph. The bike is very stable and just plain fun to ride.
Now I want one! It seems like a perfect bike! Some bikes are too heavy, some are uncomfortable to ride for taller riders. This seems just right! Excellent video! 👍🔥😊
Thanks so much. I started riding this autumn and I have to admit I'm not super-happy with my Ninja 650 - power is not the problem, but it feels a bit heavy at times (I'm very lightweight myself) and occasionally I lack the confidence it lets me correct my line through a turn if I happen to mess up initially. So I was considering switching to a smaller bike next season to get my skills and confidence up and the R3 looks really good!
nice and nothing wrong with switching to a smaller bike, you will learn so much more about riding and learn it in a much safer way on the smaller bikes. plus they are always a blast for experienced riders as well.
still using my puny first gen r25, i love r25 / r3 it is a super fun bike and very practical for daily use. i think i will get this model just for the look someday.
I’ve been riding for over 30 years and I’ve recently been wanting to get back in the sport bike game! The R3 checks all boxes for me it’s reliable ,cheap to maintain , & is reasonably inexpensive! In a real world riding scenario there’s no need for for sport bike that’s over 500cc! With that said I’m currently saving for a 2025 R3 that matte stealth black looks menacing!
I believe it’s separate, some dealers could opt to have it added but I’m sure you will pay. I will be installing one as soon as I find one that can do GP shift
@ 127 indicated is right around the top speed for a ninja 400 without a tune. I was starting I didn’t have any issues because he said the 400 has issues getting there in a decent manner. Due to gearing which in my experience wasn’t an issue. I had the throttle pinned and full tuck. Either way I just disagree with his opinion but then again I haven’t ridden an R3.
it just takes time to wind out there for me, especially being 200lbs lol. Not knocking the 400 as I love the bike too both are great machines just enjoying the new R3
Getting my first bike… Would I fit on this ok at 6’2? Any other suggestions? The 2024 r3 i saw in person seemed pretty small sitting next to an r7 and a cbr500r
Yea I think at 6’2 you will be a little cramped. I’m 5’11 and for normal riding I’m not really cramped but it’s hard to get into an aggressive riding position for me. I’ll be fixing it with rear sets and clip ons but I know a lot of people don’t want to spend that kind of money out the gate
How well does this bike compare to the rs457? I’m considering the r7 or cfmoto 675ss as my first bike, but the new R3 looks had taken a huge slice of my mind right now.
I like the 2024 style better. Yamaha been dropping the ball with get rid of the r6. Then the disappointment of r7 and r9. Then no more street legal r1.
R3 is a great bike but the rs 457 is coming to ph. Competing this with other 400cc category here in ph will be very hard for r3 especially if the price will be awfully close to the price of other 400cc. Currently this peice sits at 290k+ while the cf moto 450 srs is at 289k. The ninja 500 is at 300k plus and the rs 457 is at 358k. And im sure this bike will get more expensive because of additional features maybe this version will go up to 320k.
Finally this is the first video on yt I’ve seen with a hands on review of the 2025 r3. Currently saving for one and this seals the deal for me.
Indian guy beat them actually. I was like, damn, it's in india now? But it just seems the indian guy straight up went to Australia to review goddamn.
haha yea man what a fun bike, so many upgrade vids to come for it. hopefully you get yours soon
Agreed
same ^ i was thinking of getting an older year but yolo im sure ill love it!
I like the charger and the front light

Nice dude, I hope you pass it! Let me know what you think when you get it
I’m looking if my local dealer has the 2025 version ahead of time but unfortunately they don’t so far well that sucks
update: got my learner's permit today! Will update when I get my license!
This is such an underrated video. Amazing reviews! Keep this coming
Thanks bro, much appreciated
I dont know why I'm excited about an R3 interview lol
Haha bro that little bike is a blast
Beginner bikes are sick

So true!
Doesn’t this bike lack power ?
Sure, you can say it does but depending on your ability level any bike can lack power. Enjoyment of a moto isn’t just about power
@@VAMPS000i dont want to go that fast and die if i can ride it on the highway its good enough
it’s like the miata of bikes

I totally agree and had a similar experience with a moto crash on a bigger bike. I still have bigger bikes but I still love riding slow bikes fast too

Get the Kawasaki 650 that is good for beginners and it’s comfortable
Sounds like ass tho@@rafaelmagana6823

Nice little round-up mate... And it is a NOICE looking little bat that!
Thanks Phil
The r3 is such a fun bike to ride. Wish I kept mine
Yea bro it really is
First review! Amazing upgrade
Yea man such a fun bike

Love this vid! Would love to see a review of the 2025 R7 comparing it to your current one!
Thanks bro. Hopefully, I can get my hands on one soon. Happy new year.

Haha yea the looks got me for sure
Would wait for it to be in the used market since the engine is the same as before, easily the best 300cc bike in its class
Yea not a bad idea, and so true what a great package for a small cc bike

I so agree and still find myself riding the r3 everyday since I got it such a fun bike
perfect review and nice video
thanks bro!
Finally a hands down review of the new R3.
Thank you!
my 2025 r3 is arriving next week, cant wait to see how it feels compared to my 2023 r3. definitely excited for the assist and slipper clutch
I saw that the 2025 r3 has an optional quickshifter. Does your have one?
No it doesn’t, usually the gytr QS only do regular shift and I want it to be GP shift so I will most likely have to buy an aftermarket one
@@ScoutsOutgo for the aracer
Just one question on everyone's mind - Is the slipper clutch compatible with the Gen 1 and Gen 2 R3?
now thats a good question, with I had a way to test it out and let you know
This is a very nice review! Well done!
Thank you!
How'd you get those gloves in CA???? They're 🔥 btw
had no issue, I got these imp.i104546.net/JKK2q7
what about review on the Bluetooth connectivity?
got me, I totally forgot man, I will try and put something out soon
Is the quickshifter included from the dealer or it separated as the additional accesories?
I believe it’s separate, some dealers could opt to have it added but I’m sure you will pay. I will be installing one as soon as I find one that can do GP shift
I never had issues getting to my 400s top speed lol
Then it wasn't the top speed. It's very normal for bikes to limit it via the ECU, even if the engine is capable of more

@ ah I’m only 160 lol
is the fuel tank cover still made out of plastic?
Yea both pieces are plastic
That's a great looking bike!
Yea it really is, I’m glad they are finally focusing on some style for the smaller cc bikes

The r7 would fit you better
That was a review.
Thanks James
New tail light: ❎
R15/R125 tail light: ✅
Ohh cool, I’ll have to look at those to install
How well does this bike compare to the rs457? I’m considering the r7 or cfmoto 675ss as my first bike, but the new R3 looks had taken a huge slice of my mind right now.
Hard to compare to the 457 as it’s a bare bones bike and less power but rider position is similar. So many more electronics on the 457
looks like some 600cc bike
yea bro they really are making the smaller bikes look so good now
Made in pulogadung indonesia.❤
Yahama ❤️❤️
What’s that R2 mount you had on the gas tank?
It tracks time for track or 0-60. It’s pretty cool. It’s this amzn.to/3ZAggvA
@ thanks!
Very good content thank you
I appreciate the comment! Happy new year
nice bike
Thank you!
I just love how it looks
Yea bro it looks so good
Goog review bro
Thank you!
Excuse me sir, may i ask? Is the fuel consumption of the new version a problem? I have a 2019 r3 and the cost for fuel like 600cc, that's pretty much.
hmm, I haven't noticed yet. Ill keep an eye on the fuel eco and let you know
@@ScoutsOutthank you sir, i appreciate

I agree they should be keeping the r6 and r1, they are both amazing track bikes
I hope front brake is better than old version.
Doesn’t seem like it, I’m going to bleed it and see if I can get it a little stiffer, if not steel braided lines and better pads should fix it
@ScoutsOut Im wondering how is front break good or bad?
Less expensive components
Top speed .???
Supposedly 115, but I’m sure that’s without my 200 pound ass on it. Happy new year.
I think you would not be disappointed if you go down a tooth on the front sprocket
Yea I was kinda thinking the same thing

Yea there are faster bikes for close to the same price, I just like what we are getting out of the r3
i just dont want to spend 8k on the new one if i can get an used old one with about 10k km for 6k with slip on and other upgrades
Did you even break in the motor?
Yea I varied RPMs throughout the video
Middle finger braking? Really?
haha yea thats how I do it, I crashed a CBR600 using to many fingers in a panic situation and have learned to only use one finger ever since
Rs457😂
Yea the 457 is dope no doubt
