UN1VERSE EAT3R’s new single fuses contemporary pop with new york drill, creating a new sonic experience. A play on words, astrologaze, is a song about conceptualizing the world around you through the lens of the zodiacs. Set in space, the music video brings further dimension to the universal commentary from UN1VERSE. I wrote astrologaze at the end of my senior year, after spending the past 4 years obsessed with natal astrology. It became a hyperfixation of mine, and one that I observed in many others in my generation. So I made astrologaze, to capture this moment in time, this renaissance of astrology. Composed of catchy hooks, punchy synths, rolling beats, and vocal range, astrologaze is fun and upbeat, just like how it feels to judge someone based on their birthdate. More than that, the playful nature of astrologaze speaks to the exciting and unforgiving themes of young love, of reviewing and evaluating those around you. While it may seem superficial, astrologaze digs deeper than the surface, just how the planets that rule our brains do so in an all encompassing manner.
