4:03 feel like it was worth swinging 8k with Kiku there to drop cards out of hand or get him to zero life, if he is at 0 he likely drops yamato anyway but kiku won't be K'Od be it and if he counters the same thing happens but he has two cards less in hand

So Yamato connects double strike and Enel hits 0, does double strike not hit the newly acquired life ?

No, it does not. Since Enel is technically at 1 life double attack doesn't continue on.

you apply both damage first and then Enel uses his effect. Enel effect doesn't interrupt damage being dealt

Enel Took away Katakuri's ability to use rush when he swung with gedatsu @ 5:49 you both had 2 life at that point

He put down the katakuri when he had more life. It doesn’t matter if he loses the life during the turn, as long as the character is summoned while he has less life at that moment, the card will retain rush for the entire turn

As long as Katakuri was played before life was equal he keeps the rush
