Very interesting video on bone and stag handles. Also, nice collection. I've always liked Case XX amber peach seed jigged bone knives.

Bone and horn works for all types of uses and is part of animals that is useful, availed and low cost. There all sorts of products and ideas on how to protect and preserve natural woods, bone, horn and antler. I like pharmacy grade mineral oil and have not had any bad results using it as a preservative or lubricant for knives Mink and Neetsfoot oil is what I use on leather. I also use Renaissance wax polish too. I use Rig Universal gun grease to coat the blades too. Case Paste, Flitz, and Dursol metal polish I found are good, I am not one to trust recommendation unless I try them first.👍

Excellent video Rasputin. To me jigged bone is the most visually appealing on a slipjoint.

Mate those are some great knives, just my style. As for the atavistic "connection " between men and bone..Mate I reckon you have been thinking about it tooo much! Guys like bone because it looks GOOD!! End of story..
