I noticed you have a piece of colored tape on your tools, what is that for? Another interesting, and easy to follow tutorial, thank you for sharing. Wishing the best to you and yours. -Steven
WigWagWorkshop I use the tape to easily identify my tools at the end of a workshop where they may have been loaned out. It is so easy for folks in a hurry to pack to not pay close attention to what they they are packing. The tape makes it easier to spot my tools.
I have seen pictures of beautiful segmented ones. If you have not done glueups before, though, I do not think this is a project to learn that on. Always put aside spindle stock to dry so you will have a supply. It could be cherry or whatever. You can also buy a bpiec of 8/4 at the lumber yard. You could use up an 8 ft piece on a lot of different projects but it might take a while. Tool handles, tops, boxes, etc.
This is perfect. Just had my first I need to start making some toys. Thanks Mike.
Richard Raffan has a book on wt toys
Mike I like the idea of your caliper jig for sizing. I'll have to add one to my my shop. Thanks for the video.
Mike a good video of how to make captive rings. I am going to make one for my grand baby. Thanks
Have fun.

Do you think it’s ok to glue two pieces of maple wood to make it 2x2 or should I use a solid piece of blank wood
