Fantastic Micah, thanks for the beautiful scenery and important glider layout tips. I remember fondly you and I going over this in training but one can always use a refresher. God bless Brother. My best to your beautiful family, Arinana and Emmitt.
This is great! I have always started with the ‘A’s when sorting the lines. Makes total sense to start with the brake lines. Gonna do that my next flight. Thank you Micah! Looking forward to your content.
Great to see your family is involved in creating excellent content! Hi Ari and Emmitt! I noticed that Ari folded the wingtips in during the layout. That’s a great detail! Nicely done! 😄👍
I was actually going to ask about the folded wing tips… I remember at training you taught us to fold in the wing tips but I don’t recall you mentioning that in this video. What are your thoughts on folding in the wing tips?
Love the videos bro. Man Emmitt's getting big! Any pro tips on how to keep the wing down on the ground when winds are strong and try to get under the trailing edge enough to move it around. I've been placing small pebbles on the trailing edge to hold it down. They slip off easily once I'm connected and during inflation. Is there a simpler step I'm missing? I look forward to the next lesson!
Thanks for the support!! I know exactly what you mean. Once air starts lifting the trailing edge it’s nearly impossible to get it back down. I’ll usually just let the wind have its way and continue moving towards the wing until I am ready to inflate, which is actually pretty easy since I would be doing a reverse inflation with this much wind anyway. Once you start emphasizing the a’s the trailing edge will eventually find its place. Are you doing a lot of beach flying?
Hey Lance, I can say that the layout is very similar to foot launch! The main difference is not giving slack to the lines with a trike. You kinda want the lines to be taught as you bring in power to keep the inflation smooth. Hope this helps a little bit!

Thank you John, I appreciate the feedback and your interest in future content. Working on a line detangling specific video as I type this!

My pleasure!
Awesome information!
Priming! Can’t wait to try this.
Let me know how it goes!

Great video, Micah. Since I fly a trike any chance of a video on glider setup for a trike?
