The multiple readings which contrast "proper" pronunciation vs. daily "contracted" speech is very valuable.

Yeah, it's hard to recognize the more daily pronunciation even if you know the word, so it's really helpful to hear both so you can get more used to it!

Hej, tusind tak! Danish is very fun and beautiful but holy hovedkål, it is extremely grrrr...hard for a foreigner to comprehend without subtitles! I guess I'm needing some glasses that automatically subtitles in Danish what a Dane is telling me... :)
I understand her when she repeats slowly but when you guys speak normally I get a 50 or 40% ... And I have the feeling that it won't change during my learning. Especially short words -they strangle or evaporate in Danish throats and become imperceptible. Sometimes it's like, when... beautiful person, WHEN did you mention this or that word?! Learning Danish is painful but I love it at the same time since it's the language of some lovely people. I love Denmark. And you know, love makes us suffer

I have exactly the same problem. I can read almost 80 % by now, but still am often puzzled when Danish speak.
