I had the ft817nd for years and loved it, especially the thin form factor. I have the kx3 as well, which is an amazing radio. I'm looking forward to seeing what Yaesu comes up with next for a QRP radio, but the one thing that would keep me from buying it is if it has a color touchscreen. I use it primarily for SOTA and having a simple dot matrix screen is easier to see in bright sunlight and has less current draw
