It helps to finally understand the difference between both and have some fundamental understanding. Don't really use either in new systems, but do run into them in legacy plants with old systems doing PLC Upgrades. Though i had some awareness that they use different serial cabling for connections and far slower compared to Ethernet/IP i wasn't as aware of the difference. So great to have some better understanding. Legacy communications for me at this point but still great to understand in concept. Your english is also very good man, so don't ever sweat it!

Excellent. But beside so many benefits RS 485 is still cheap? Why.?

In this video, it will sound like RS485 is just superior in every aspect, that's not the case.
RS232 is more than able to perform for a short distance and low data speed requirements. RS232 has a transmission speed of 1Mb/s up to 15M. However, RS485 has a data transmission speed of up to 10Mb/s for a distance of 15M. At the maximum of 1200M, RS485 transmits at 100Kb/s

I just want to repeat the RS485 bidirectionally and am using a RPT-485_422-2 but the instructions are ambiguous. Does the RS485 require a 120 Ohm terminating resistor between terminals A+ B- on the end of line? Also it speaks of Jumpers but doesn't say where the jumpers are connected. Do you know much about this type of repeater?
