This cartoon was later released on 16mm and 8mm and it was distributed by Blackhawk Films. They acquired the rights for one early Disney short from 1922. Blackhawk also distributed many of the early shorts along with the series of Ub Iwerks cartoons under ComiColor and Flip the Frog series.

Is the cat a boy or a girl
I thought it was a male cat. Not sure, but I found them both wholesome either way.😄
Many people see him as Julius, since he was named in Alice Comedies, but it's unknown if he is meant to be male or female in the Laugh-O-Grams shorts
