Not to mention how hard it would be to knock someone if his size, strength, and skill out regardless.
And with his obvious work ethic and fleet footedness, I have every reason to believe he could've excelled at tennis if he wanted to. He might be too explosive to take to it as naturally as done other sports, but as hard as he trains for what he's interested in, I have zero doubt he could excel at tennis if he really wanted to.

PHENOMENALLY IMPRESSIVE!!! Just so you know, I Googled Mr Opont & was totally blown away by this elite young athlete! The focus of this short video is on his ability despite his weight! That’s a given, but only the tip of the iceberg! This guy is mind blowing with his stats & performance! So I got up into his other bios to see if he was maybe extremely tall or something else that could attribute to his edge, you know? It’s not the same usually for a man of 300 pounds at 5’9-10 compared to a man of 300 pounds at 6’6-8! It’s simple physics called weight distribution! However, for this particular individual, physics has little effect on his abilities! Mr Opont’s height is recorded at 5’9!!! It boggles the mind when you review the video in that light! I’m thinking training, discipline and dedication had a huge effect here! Not to mention mind over matter, a technique that I was taught by my TKD instructor/coach years ago. At the time,I was training to compete in kickboxing (this was back in the 80’s,before MMA’s popularity) and I was a lightweight female, only 5 feet! To say I was a bit too small was an understatement! When you consider that most other females competitors were at least 4 inches taller, thusly increasing their reach, which is a disadvantage! However, Master Song was a diminutive male who had personal understanding of the situation and taught the “MOM” technique. It made all the difference in the world to my performance! I’m thinking this may be what‘a going on here! Nevertheless, the guy is someone to watch for in the future! Thanks for sharing this with us! Enjoyed every moment! Looking forward to more like this! ❤ from Texas,USA! Peace!
