I actually got Squirtle as my first starter in this ROM Hack. I did swap him out for Latios now, though. Then again there are quests to clear hard runs with no legendaries or items used in battles, though.

That spinda fight had me laughing as the idea of being afraid of a spinda just never happens in a normal game and can only be seen in one of these hardcore playthroughs.
I played this ROM Hack because of this video. Very fun. With advice and info from this stream I managed to beat the Champion on my second run. I do use Items in battle and set Battle Options to Shift, though. You can do a run with entirely 2v2 Battles and other cool stuff. 8 generations of Pokemon, buy a permanent Master Ball for 50,000 PokeDollars to use in every run, get Mega's, etc... You can then also catch Legendaries in the Safari Zone and Rare Candies level your starter permanently. At lvl 16 you can skip the first Badge, 26 to skip the 2nd, etc... And the Safari Zone level range is 5 up to your highest so mine is 5 - 25 right now. My starter is a lvl 25 Latios with twisted spoon held item, Psychic + Dragon Breath + Surf + Thunderbolt lol.

I can see this one becoming a comfort watch. It's got everything...storylines, Pokemon, Ray suffering...
I've played Enter the Gungeon for 200 hours since August thanks to Ray's streams. Today I downloaded this ROM and I'm loving it. I miss some of the UI / quality of life improvements from the Pokemon Unbound ROM but I'm digging the Rogue Like play style.

My favorite starters vary, but usually I lean towards grass types and water types.
I like Treecko as a starter, along with Chikorita.
My biggest problem with lot of the older starters that I like is their monotyping.
Thats why Gen 3 (favorite gen next to 2) I lean towards Mudkip.

I used to love keeping up with vods when I can't make it to stream, but whatever youtube is doing with longer videos is ridiculous. I'm getting ads every 3 minutes. Every 3 minutes. I can't even enjoy any portion of content because I'm receiving ads that break up anything that's going on. It's insanity. I'm sorry Ray, but until something changes, I just can't do it anymore.

@@GabePuratekuta Because then Ray sees no ad revenue, which means he can't continue doing what he does. I want to support his content by viewing the ads so that he can continue. The thing is, I can't view more ad than content. That's where the problem lies.

First run, make it to 3rd battle of elite 4, was down 2 pokes and Pheobe pushed my shit in... Cradily and Arcanine carried my run hard. Also got a shiny graveler so shiny turd lol
& now we wait for the possible 1.3 update run.
With the amount of Gen 3 Ray has played, I would have figured he would have learned at some point that the spinners in Gen 3 will always turn when you're running. You can sneak by them by not using the running shoes.

Watched about 30 min of this no real explanation of what this rom is about or how it works like with other rom hack streams. Saw people ask in chat an immediately get slammed and told to just Google it... while multiple other people were also admitting they were confused about how the rom worked. Really killed the vibe honestly. I think I'll pass on the rest of the video not interested in having to switch off and research the mod when I'm looking for a chill stream. Catch you next time Ray 😅
The game explained it in the first couple minutes (use random pokemon-go on randon routes-fight random trainers), plus Ray put a link to the romhack page in the description which goes into much more detail.
Granted, Ray was essentially going in blind+it's not immediately obvious what's going in game, but I'm a lil' baffled at being so confused it made you pass on watching?
Did you charge your average $70 or did you up the price for this one, Spencer?

I think what frustrates me about Ray playing Pokemon (and this is just me, AND I get his reasoning) is that he will NOT heal in battle. Because of his stubbornness on it, the Spinda was crushing his team. He could have EASILY used healing on all of them.
