Our First Impressions of FARO PORTUGAL | We got Pranked by a Stranger

- Welcome to Portugal. This is our first time visiting Faro and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. In today’s video we will be showing you places you must visit in this incredibly affordable city.
Our journey started at Faro Airport, from where we walked 1 hour to the centre of Faro, a beautiful city sitting on the south coast of Algarve. Faro appeared to be a quiet city full of the nicest people in the world. Everyone was happy, approachable and really helpful.
We didn't really have a step by step itinerary for Faro, however, we saw Faro Marina and we then walked through the old town, where we visited Santa Maria's Church. This is a very cute square, as you have orange trees combined with Portuguese architecture.
On our visit to Faro, we discovered what we think is the best restaurant in Portugal, known as Tasca O Chavalar Moriscos Grelhados. The staff in this restaurant were lovely and efficient, and not only the food came very quickly but it was absolutely delicious, in fact, they cooked everything fresh on a grill. Here is where we also met "Nikolas com K", a very nice waiter with pure joy, he definitely made our experience a 10 out of 10.
The restaurant does not have a website, but if you visit Faro, you can find it on this street: R. Infante Dom Henrique 120, 8000-363 Faro, Portugal. Trust us, you will not regret it!

There’s so many great restaurants in Portugal! The Portuguese people take so much pride in their food- everything is fresh and reasonably priced.
We noticed that, the food was spectacular and the people were lovely. It felt like that amazing personality was transferred on to the food😍

ahaha, we love adventures and that walk was definitely one, but luckily nothing happened 😄
The guy behind the counter doesn't speak back to you in portuguese because he doesn't speak portuguese, it's as simple as that!
The gentleman did speak Portuguese, he started speaking with Carol but then we think he saw Max and he wasn’t too sure if we spoke portuguese😂 it was a bit confusing but the gentleman was really nice
Just get an esim. Much easier

@@carmaadventures I think I will skip faro. Looks a bit boring for me
If you have time, we definitely recommend you visit Faro, however, we don't recommend you stay more than 2/3 days. Apart from the town, you also have boat tours and a very unique beach (Faro beach) which looks like an oasis (difficult to explain but if you search it, it will make sense). However, if you are not going to Algarve for that long, we believe the western coastal area is more attractive.
