  • Experts from the Henry and Allison McCance Center for Brain Health and its multidisciplinary COVID-19 Brain Health Clinic highlight knowledge gained over the past year about post-COVID neuropsychiatric complications and preserving brain health in the setting of COVID-19. As you might be aware, whether from your own experiences, your family and friends, or news reports, COVID-19 is having a particularly large impact on the brain. From loss of smell, to so-called “brain fog,” to depression and anxiety, the virus itself along with the pandemic conditions it has forced on all of us, have left many of us impaired.

Thank you for this informative discussion! I am a March 2020 Long Hauler who experienced neuropsychiatric events (quite serious cognitive decline). For many of us from the First Wave, the trauma of experiencing Brain Fog at home alone for months has led to PTSD. I hope there will be research into how to best support us moving forward. Thank you!
