I just put the $15 RampCrab servo kit with aluminum horn kit for the fcx24. Amazing upgrade.

I've heard good things about that kit. Might have to get another K5 so I can test that servo kit out 😁

How did you attach the servo horn to the steering linkage? None of the screws mine came with actually fit the servo horn, and the machine screws the FCX24 came with can't self tap into the aluminum of the servo horn.

That's a problem I ran into, I ended up having to use a plastic servo horn, and then what I did was drilled out the aluminum horn and used an m2 screw and lock nut. Love the servo, but the horn isn't drilled out large enough. I actually broke one of the machine screws in the horn trying to tap it in there.

That servo absolutely needs to be replaced because it isn’t nearly durable enough.

@vincewidemann868 the factory one or the AGFRC? AGFRC has been going strong for a year now.

@@scalerockrc the factory unit. My sone has both the blazer and the power wagon looking flatbed, and it went out on both with low hours. Granted, he likes to wheelie backwards on the front end a lot, so it may have contributed to premature wear…but I would suspect that such maneuvers are fairly common.

@vincewidemann868 yeah, the stock ones aren't the best, most RTR ones aren't great anyways lol
