Your farm looks so pretty! Everything is so green and lush, palm trees everywhere. It looks so nice and tropical. I’m in Colorado on the western slope. Nothing will ever rust here! What that things neat! Those twilights on the flatbed are neat! I’ve never seen that before! I miss my flatbeded first gen 12v 5 speed I had.
Reminds me of my early '04 3500 NV5600 truck I recently sold. 364k miles, one owner for 362k of those miles, great running ride. Such a great truck, I couldn't let it sit.
I learned to drive manual on the farm in my dad’s 1999 dodge Ram 3500 24 valve. It was an absolute cheat code. Thing was not possible to stall it. You could effortlessly even take off in 3 gear without the clutch even. So forever a soft spot for these trucks.
Pretty sweet deal. The steel flatbed alone is $$$. Someone will always want it for work. Especially those just Starting up n don’t want a truck payment. Love that it’s a stick. You could always wrap or rattle can it.
first things I’d recommend is killer dowel pin next would be all fuel (aftermarket lift pump, injectors) than go into intake and exhaust, make sure you do a multi piece exhaust manifold the stock/single piece one spike to crack from the heat. I’d recommend a turbo that’s a bit bigger than stock not much more especially since your just doing a farm truck with it if you really want you can go through the front suspension do a new steering gearbox and stabilizers to tighten up the steering
I just watched a vid about a pin in the timing cover that messes a lot of stuff up if that hasn’t been done also maybe newer ones I saw there’s an air heater in the intake side being in Florida probably delete that. Found your channel from Adam’s. You’re awesome dude 😂 great vibes
Or the ‘53 block’ curse! The block casting number 53, they all crack, depending on year you could possibly have a 53 block 12 valve. It is possible on a ‘98 up to 98.5 just depends on when it came off the assembly line. 12v and 24v blocks are identical there’s no difference. The only difference is the heads and pistons, ansd a few other little tiny things like timing case, and injection pump/ pump gear, injector lines, and a camshaft lobe for mechanical fuel lift Pump. When they switched from 12 valve to 24v they didn’t even remove the ‘window hole’ for the mechanical fuel lift Pump! They just covered it with the bracket that holds the p.o.s. stock OE electric Carter fuel lift pump that’s prone to burning up vp44’s. I’m going to p Pump my 24 valve! Take the p7100 injection pump and swap it over to my 24v in place of the electronically controlled vp44! Thats the absolute best setup is a p pumped 24v with mechanical fuel shut off! Nuke proof! No modules no computers, no electronics!
lol Dude an oil pressure guage with boost pressure going into it is not even close to accurate! That is not 30-32 psi Of boost! I can promise you that! That stock wh1c isn’t even capable of the 30 psi of boost! Now even with all the fuel on the world would that wh1c make 30 psi! lol, you can’t just hook up a oil pressure gauge and use it as a boost guage, it dosent work like that. If you don’t know what you’re doing please dont mess with anything! Don’t start turning screws on the injection pump and poking around! You’re gunna ruin things! Resist the urge! Leave it alone! Don’t tinker with it!

Good find

I’m pretty stoked on this build make it a torque trailer puller and some extra horsepuppies

Good trucks but always fix the killer dowel pin.
@@hondaatcfreak420 already done on this one!
@@JackCecil good.
Dang that door closes good
BOTH DO!!....feel like I hit the lotto.
Put some padding on the sides of the groove in the bed, and install a snorkel. Then you can just back it down the boat ramp and pick up a jet ski

All I want perfect truck
Do a build series
I'll be honest... I saw the thumbnail and figured it was a rod knock video. Clicked on it when I saw it was my buddy Jack.
🙏
LRB Speed makes and sells a complete dashboard kit for these trucks
I saw it
Re do all the front end steering/ball joints exct. Make her tight again 😂
She’s pretty tight already! But I’ll go through it all for sure! 👍
Name this one the "good ole girl" 😂 g.o.b. will be missed
I think they are all Good ole boys at heart.
Goo old beater make her reliable and maybe a lil bump in the future new turbo and extras
Cant go wrong with 12v.
Tack weld the dowel
I think its all mechanical ? And a stick. Win 🏆
Emp proof for sure!
I miss my old 12 valve cummins, most reliable vehicle I ever had! I beat that thing and it just took it
killer dowel pin fix, if not already done.

Sick
Are you like semi retired now from the shop??
Needs a paint job first, then interior, and then engine upgrades to make it bullet proof. Then, no need for a new truck!
Are you going to get an LRB dash for it?
I’d love to.
😉✌️
if you ever wanna sell the bed lmk!! im in polk county looking to get ride of my stock bed
Hit up JH Diesel and 4x4. He can give you some good advice
FORD is an acronym, Found On Road Dead, Fix Or Repair Daily.
