Back to Unlucky Morpheus, an excellent band. Jill is killer on the violin. Please don't say fiddle, lol And to think there are even more great bands from Japan you have bot seen. Highly recommend next [Official MV] Unlucky Morpheus[CADAVER][REVADAC] + sheet music
@@mikesmusicalrehab I'll give you the link for the video he suggested, because I highly recommend it too, they did something genius with a melody line that works backwards too: ruclips.net/video/_yrNRhIreyE/видео.htmlsi=2afwsHH5DIIyg0xa I also recommend Angreifer, it's heavy, dark and groovy at the same time: ruclips.net/video/gGKWgM4IOgc/видео.htmlsi=S8ZALbiyXVlvwFSO Unlucky Morpheus sound is super diverse (from jazz to death metal) and that is what makes them my favorite japanese band
They have a few "M" songs: "Top of the M," "M Anthem" and "M Revolution." They are all fun songs about the Japanese "M League" which is a professional competitive mahjong league. Shiren (guitar to your right) is a big fan. Great band, all top-level musicians and they can vary their style while always being heavy. Have you seen either of their side projects? QUADRATUM features Jill (violin) Jinya (guitar) Ogawa (bass) and Fumiya (drums) doing covers of bands like Dream Theater, Yngwie Malmsteen and Racer X, with Jill doing much of the solo guitar work on violin (she even does a cover of Van Halen's "Eruption" which is must see) The other project is Unholy Orpheus, which is just everyone minus Fuki (lead vocals) doing even heavier metal with Shiren doing growly harsh vocals.
It is one of the best live performances ever 🙌 Nobody could ever match this band on stage Only themselves could beat it 😂 Try the live version of [Opfer] There is a video under the name: Ankimo- Vampir+Opfer (live) Cheers
"M Revolution" is not one of my favorite songs from them, but these bands just can't make a bad song lol, you know it's going to be at least great anyways. Fuki is a vocalist that can sing in a variety of styles, in this song she uses a higher pitch "anime-like" voice, while in some others a more dark and full tone (in some songs like "The Tower of Blood" she switches between the two styles, one for the narrator and another for the character of the lyrics, you can check that song live with lyrics in my own channel). I think you will enjoy a lot their heavier songs like Unending Sorcerer, KIZASI, Make a Choice, Salome, Opfer, and many others. Btw, thanks a lot for the reaction! It's always a pleasure to watch
@@mikesmusicalrehab definitely Black Pentagram is the best, just always pick live performance, and then whichever aspect of that song you like you can go different directions, if you liked the speedy, power metal vibes and neoclassical influences go for Dignity of Spirit, if you like the heaviness try Angreifer and if you really want to check out music video instead of live go for Black Death Mansion Murderer, this one is dope

From your information, I kinda beginning to like this band's sense of humor. 😜 Which is also a great way to get into a band!
@bigg2988 another fun Fact

Lovebites has been my favorite of the Japanese metal so far but they are right there with them. I love the old school metal influence in their music

In Japanese music culture you have to be as good on the stage as you are on your studio recordings. It is unacceptable to perform poorly live.
I wish more bands felt that way
honestly one of their worst songs, too mainstream, too soft, nothing like Unlucky Morpheus
@@GourangaPL what would be your best recommendation from them
