Wow. You did well there!.. how long were you in the park to capture that?... so much smaller than pumas from the North and also from much further south. Looked quite skinny too. Have you been to other remote areas of CR?... well done guys
We stayed in the park for 4 days. It was one of the greatest fortunes we have had in nature! I thank mother nature for all this! We visited the west part of CR, very beautiful country.
in the center area -for us hispanos- those animal are more smaller, so in the areas near to the pole north and south pumas are more bigger in the patagonia the puma is more bulky perhaps more area or cold biome make the diference.
I think the reason they might be smaller in central and South America is because of the jaguar pumas are larger in places where their only real competition are wolves but in the jaguars more northern areas the puma was said to be smaller in size but had grown larger since jaguars are almost extinct in its northern range once jaguars reached central U.S but are only found in the southern U.S now
They have many more dominant Jaguars to compete with in the Osa Peninsula. Basically trapped in the region with food supplies not increasing. Thin doesn't necessarily mean sick. Big cats are adjusted to the 11 microclimate environments in CR.

Creo que esta enfermo o algo le pasa porque está muy flaco
Se ve desnutrido o sera un ejemplar viejo (?)
