Usually when I play fighting games against my cousins me just spam specials, I learned how to play catwoman in injustice 2 like combos and stuff, they hate me for it but it's so funny to be good as something for once, it sucks that I didn't try learning the game sooner

I've never played injustice 2 before, used to love playing the original one tho on ps3. Does the costume effect gameplay? I heard you can win certain items and they make your character better or something? Is this game pay to win?
Edit: Okay so I finally got the boots and the helmet now all i need is the arms but it’s not that big of a deal, I also got the green arrow CW set but still no luck on the IJ1 hood; Overall I’m very happy with both of the sets.
