EDIT/UPDATE: Unsubscribed from this channel. This is NOT Furcifer, wtf. This is legitimately the Anti-Godot whoever-the-fuxxery. I saw the 2hr documentary also thinking it was from them, then halfway to 3/4ths through, it became apparent this is not "loving criticism & jokes" but actual trying to pull every possible negative reach into... idfk, anti-Godotness.
I appreciated the criticisms and video edits at first, and I still do, but wow it really is reaching for any/all negatives. It's apparent that it's reaching, everywhere, akin to if you recorded your friend for years and compiled all the bad things they said to override anything else.

The fact that you're saying this further proves the points that were raised about Godot's community. To quote one of the clips in the 2-hour documentary that you refer to:
"Any criticism of Godot is met with absolute cult-like hostility. You either love everything about Godot, or you're a Godot hater and need to be attacked."
To readers: just imagine a community where even jokes are met with hostility! And this community is called Godot Engine! I truly recommend to watch the two-hour film called "Waiting for Blue Robot: The Ultimate Guide to Godoverse":

Yes, such hostility I have. Maybe I'll go back and edit all my "not that bad of execution" remarks and switch them to "utter trash entirely". I wonder what your takes on bigotry are, because that's actually what I'd judge you, your creations, or your community on. I bash on Godoters and Capitalism often, and I am watching for signs of problems as you might be "trying" to highlight. The problem is that you're trying so hard that it feels like "something is up", I've only felt a culty vibe from the anti-godot vids(which until this channel, I thought was only from like... one particular person, is that you?). You realize that it is you, in fact, who feels a bit more culty? You realize that if there was a conspiracy, a more likely one is: Corpo profiteers hired you to bash on highly successful open source options?
The main negative I've heard from Godot is: They kick/ban bigots, fascists, transphobes, and etc. Are you one of those? For me, Godot's design decisions are like.... everything I've vouched for for years before Godot, and even Godot users still bash on "lol why no monetize" or "dang they need to be a biz" and other status-quo nonsense.
I would choose C++. I would choose aggregate composition. I would choose MIT-like licensing. I would do dogfooding for my software. I would build GDExtension to link C++ in there. I would choose Vulkan over OpenGL. I would choose WebRTC.
Culty because... too many smart decisions made? All I can think of is maybe you were a bigot who got banned or something, maybe you should share YOUR story, in video form.

The worst part of Godot: the community.
After they announced that stupid pricing for console port and I saw lots and lots of Godot fans saying "uh dur, it seems fair", I knew it, that was the last nail in the coffin for me.
So many years waiting for Godot and yet to this day the 3d in Godot looks "meh" for 99% of cases (road to vostok being the exception... if that dude can make Godot look like that, just imagine what he would be capable of in a better engine).
Yea I regret messing around in godot for 5 years waiting for it to get good. Recently started learning unreal and I couldn't be happier
Gosh imagine putting a paywall in front of console porting. That shit should be free!
