Overview
Whether you come from old money or you’re nouveau riche, there’s no better way to flaunt it than in a Rolls-Royce Ghost. This is a car with presence, a car for the one tenth of one percent. And everyone knows it. The Ghost mimics the even more expensive Phantom sedan in both style and substance, offering an interior that’s whisper quiet and impeccably outfitted with the finest materials. It’s equipped with coach rear doors, just like the Phantom, that open like a pair of welcoming arms-a clear signal of upper-crust luxury. The ride is as smooth as polished aluminum, just like in other Rolls-Royces. But there’s also more athleticism tuned into the chassis than you might expect-especially on the Black Badge model, which comes with more power and sportier settings for the Ghost’s standard air suspension. Would you rather be chauffeured? No problem; riding in the Ghost’s rear compartment is a sybaritic experience as well.

The Ghost is the entry-level Rolls, but what an entry. The list of standard and optional equipment is mesmerizing and long, and Rolls-Royce offers a seemingly endless list of additional features and customizations. The only question is how much you're willing to spend.
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The Ghost is powered by a 563-hp 6.7-liter V-12 that is shared with the Cullinan SUV; Black Badge models get a boost in power to 592 hp. An eight-speed automatic handles shifting duties, and all-wheel drive is standard. According to Rolls-Royce, the Ghost is capable of hitting 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds, and we're looking forward to verifying that claim at our test track. Rolls-Royce also boasts that the Ghost offers a sharp handling, pointing to its all-wheel-steering system and 50/50 weight distribution as evidence that driving satisfaction played a significant role in the car's development. The Ghost provides a peerless ride thanks to its standard adaptive suspension, which employs a road-scanning camera to help the vehicle anticipate and compensate for potholes. Of course.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Like the cabin of any Rolls-Royce, the new Ghost’s is opulent, with every surface, knob, switch, and lever crafted from quality materials. Think thick carpet, finely grained leather, real wood and metal accents, and even an available headliner with tiny integrated LEDs to simulate a starlit sky. An illuminated dashboard inlay glows when the driver turns on the Ghost, adding to the starry-night ambiance. Rear-seat passengers are treated to such luxuries as massaging seats, an entertainment system, and acres of legroom. It’s nothing less than expected for a car in the same class as the Bentley Flying Spur and the Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-class.
Infotainment and Connectivity
Along with providing a Wi-Fi hotspot, the Ghost features a large infotainment touchscreen with in-dash navigation. Though not confirmed, we expect it also includes both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces. A dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system allows passengers to adjust the radio, input destinations into the nav, and more. Rolls-Royce also supplies an 18-speaker Bespoke stereo system with 1300 watts of power and magnesium-ceramic speaker cones.

I drove my first Rolls Royce ghost today, brand new, thanks to a friend for bringing it over to my store. First take, the craftsmanship is brillant and the doors were super heavy, built like a tank! I was impressed with how quiet it was driving down the road as well as how smooth it was. The comfort inside was bar none! It was really neat having the opportunity to drive this car, made my month and the month just started! Going to hop off and manifest now:)

A few years ago, one of these passed me at about 85-90 M.P.H. while going down I-5 in N. Calif. About 100 or so yards in front of me, it blew a tire, skidded a 180 and flew off a 25-30 deep embankment.
Amazingly, the car only suffered minor damage mostly on the side where it crash landed in a farmer's field. The lady driving the car had a broken shoulder. All that to say these cars must be really well made. An American car would most likely have been smashed to pieces and the driver severely injured.

If I'm completely honest, I don't think this is a very stylish car. It is a bit kitschy and some details look a bit cheap in terms of design. The English style has clearly passed over to German influences. Jaguar is a similar example where the unique character has completely disappeared.

These are beautiful automobiles but are they reliable?! About an hour ago I saw a Rolls Royce on the side of the highway with the bonnet open, the trunk was open, and the blinkers were flashing. A man was looking down towards the engine. I don't know what year or trim this particular Rolls-Royce was but it had the same tail lights as the Rolls in this video has so I'm assuming it's a newer model?! MTU and Rolls-Royce engines are relatively dependable, are they not? Maybe the driver was just putting in some washer fluid or something?
