    Outlander xmr with rad relocate looks way better than a renegade with a rad relocate. The longer wheel base is an advantage on hill climbs and trails which I do a lot more of than mudding. I wanna get wet, not straight mud. So imo outlander xmr with the 2up seat is a better machine for me.

      Its fine, his statements about bottoming out made no sense. You bottom out on a rut side to side not front to back. to length isnt the factor. length doesnt effect ground clearance the way hes trying to use it as a "fact". This video is clearly biased based of ones love for a certain bike, not ACTUAL valid info.

    • @legowolf22
      @legowolf22 2 года назад +2

      @@shanewamsher4683 when climbing out of a hole, the under belly of the machine will get hung up more often on the max chassis due to the rear wheels being further away so they havnt reached the side to climp up and out. On the short wheelbase the rear whels will reach the wall of the hole before the underbelly gets hung up at the top ledge.

    Great video Don! I personally respect your facts on the renegade. My personal preference is the outlander because of one situation where my friend accidentally caught her leg on the wheels of her renegade and got hurt pretty badly. But, it’s rider error to have that happen. But, honestly I do want a renegade next once I move to a house where I have more storage area. Still going to keep my outlander.

It can happen if your in deep ruts or, in the case where the longer wheelbase would matter, when your in a hole and go to climb out...after th front wheels clear, as you continue to move forward, your frame will contact the ledge at the top of the hole. With the longer wheelebase, your back tires havnt reached the wall of the hole so the rear of the machine cant climb up and out. All it can do is push forward to try to reach the wall o the hole but the frame is caught ( High centered) on the edge at the top of the hole. Hope this helped.

    The rad relocate on the renegade just looks off and weird and I feel it’s a necessary to have the rad relocate if your mudding, so in that case the renegade is uglier in my opinion but cool video still. I got a 2018 outlander Xmr 570 and I’m in love with it and I’m 6ft 250lbs. To me it’s everything I want. It still gets through pretty much all the mud I’m willing to go through, which I don’t go extreme mudding like you guys do in Canada with the NOS and everything lol but I like how simple and reliable the 570 is and it still has plenty of powerful to have a lot of fun and its still a very capable machine. Now if I was a full on mudder like you and was willing to spend tons of money than yes the renegade 1000 with bigger tires, higher suspension with a rad relocate and with Nos is the goat of mudding but the outlander is still almost as capable when it comes to mudding in itself

    i mean the video is great but if you are looking on the price you gotta take the g1 outander 800 an absolute beast first thing first: short wheelbase (same as renegade) second: price in germany you can get one for like 5k and so in america even cheaper third: the chassis are removed in like 5 minutes because of the old system (what i really do like) fourthyou dont need a new footrack for bigger wheels just cut some place out (because of the price) but there are bad points too ofc like the point that you gotta need some mechanic prior knowledge because you need to build the snorkel system on your own and another bad point is that the engine got the old control unit and ofc its only a 800but i got one on my own and i love it.
    but its your own decision

    So ya.....I ride a XMR 1000 Outlander and I ride with 4 other renegades and can say I don't get hung up any more than they do. I also have an easier time getting out of holes with the longer chassis. Also you say the renegade has the best snorkel and the Outlander doesn't come with one then you turn around and say you can order the rad relocate for the renegade like the outlander....well you can also order that snorkel kit for the Outlander so that comparison goes out the window. #3 renegade comes with all the accessories....why do you think it's $2000 more they're not free lol. I put the full aluminum skid plates, hand guards and bought the 2up seat and the Yoshi exhaust and it put the price just over the price of the renegade and I now have a two up machine if needed. Oh and apparently renegade guys do need a rack because 3 out of the 4 renegades I ride with ordered an aftermarket mount and put the Outlander rack on the back. And your tire upgrades well maybe-ish I can fit 32" assassintors on mine and just have to trim a little of the plastic. The only thing I agree on is the ease of maintenance on the Renegade but I change my fluids twice a year so it's no biggie as long as I have a cold beer next to me. In the end it all comes down to personal preference between these two machines. Title should be "Top 5 Reasons Why I WANT A Can Am Renegade 1000 XMR (vs Outlander 1000 XMR).

      That's great to get your take on this comparison. One question, do you run the same size tires as the riders on the Renegades? 1) My outlande does just as good if not better than my buddies renegade in the mud
    2) The renegades intake is not really all that much higher than the outlanders. The cvt intake is, but not the airbox intake. Depending on which snorkel kit you go with decides if the snorkels are in your way. You act like the rhino horn is invisible
    3) Better accessories? Aluminum skid plates yes. But everything else my outlander came with. Who needs a rack? Anybody who wants to strap a cooler down. Oh you can just buy it for the renegade but the BRP is too out of hand. Same over the radiator relocate. You can get a can am approved snorkel extention as well. I like the cluster on my outty. Not a fan of the little square you get. And the passenger thing. You don't need the rear seat to have a passenger. The outlander "driver" seat is plenty big enough for a passenger with the storage box in place of the seat.
    4) Maintenance is not that hard on the outlander. Sure its easier on the renegade, but don't be lazy.
    5)You can fit bigger tires, but i can do floorboards cheaper than you can rad relocate to keep from overheating every time you go out.
    6) They both look good. Renegade looks more sporty but calling the outlander ugly woulr be an outright lie
    Fun fact. My 18 outty xmr outran my buddies renegade until he put clutches in his. Mine still has stock clutches. This video is misinformational. Somebody is mad they paid more for less.
    Anybody reading my comment. If you don't know which machine to go with, think about the type of riding you'll be doing. Do you have a passenger? Do you climb hills a lot? They both have their perks. Not like this guy makes it out to be

      Never heard of a Renegade XTP...anyways the shocks must have been set up super stiff. The shocks on an XMR Renegade are better than the Outlander. Also depends on tire pressure as well, for comparison. BTW Outlander and Renegades are the same machine underneath the plastic.
