coalhouse1981 honestly i feel like you’re right lol. i gotta re watch it to really see how the players are. but i knew they would keep bringing him back until he won
Diane Burtulato Jeff’s man-crush on Rob is pathetic. It made for one of the worst seasons in all of Survivor (Redemption Island) and I even read somewhere that Probst and CBS were casting people that said they were Boston Rob fans (to increase Rob’s chances of winning)
I'm pretty much convinced that they cast Redemption island in a way that would ensure Rob's win. They handed him the crown on a silver platter. The only other person who played the game was Andrea.
all the smart players got the boot on robs tribe premerge which was completely intentional, andrea is the only one who didn’t and if they lost one more immunity she probably would have gone home. and on russell’s tribe the opposite happened and he allied himself with the smart players
Andrea was just as much a follower in that season until she was blindsided, it's just because of her later seasons that you see that she might actually be a decent player. It's quite possible that multiple people were like that but due to bad edit or inexperience or weird tactics etc, that we don't know about. Also like Ryssi said Rob voted out the smart players pre-merge. It was all intentional. There were enough smart players in that season, the problem is that they got on the wrong side of the numbers, before and after merge.
The editors did beat us over the head way too much with Rick Devens but he still would have been a way better winner than Chris. To be fair I think the only reason they hyped him up so much is because he made great TV and they needed to give Chris some sort of storyline (slays the big underdog hero of the season in firemaking.)
I’d definitely make the argument that he’s one of the best strategic players, but Ozzy easily could’ve won that season. Them being complete opposites dominating the game is why Cook Islands is one of my favorite seasons!
Stuff And Things what people didn’t realize was that he was just the first of the “nerdy narrator” types that got a lot of content just because of their character, not their chances at winning. stephen did play a solid game, though, and id go on record saying he’s a better player than jt
After Chris swooped in and won last season, I wouldn't be shocked by ANY of the remaining cast members winning this season.... *Noura has entered the chat*
My greatest prediction of all time: David vs Goliath, episode 1: Moments before the immunity challenge I was confident either Pat or Nick was going to be the first one out, and the other one would win the game.
Bro the fact that tony isn’t on this is insane ngl. Especially since you have Sarah who legit modeled her second game based off of Tony’s win. I called Tony’s win in episode one, it was just so obvious he was leagues ahead of everyone.
Tony’s edit is one of the weirdest winners edits in all of survivor, he was portrayed as a villain and seemed way too obvious, so much so that he seemed like a decoy winner. Most people thought spencer or woo was going to win, and according to edgic, tony was the least likely to win going into the finale, even under kass.
I actually thought he would go out like Russell: made it all the way to the end, but screwed over everyone in a way that would make him earn zero votes.
@@daphnerosales2072 Tony was seen as a guy who screwed people over, but wasn't a complete douchbag about it, so he was an obvious winner to me at least

Kim I literally figured out from pre-season that she was the winner based on the way that Jeff talked about her in his cast assessment video as well, and then as soon as the first episode started she did nothing to make me think that she wouldn't, I thought the same thing the whole season, and she did win. If Tommy wins this season (which he will unless we are getting the biggest troll edit ever), then he's the second most obvious winner to me. He's been my top pick to win since episode 1 for every single episode and since the Kellee boot, he's been my ONLY contender to win.
I did not have a good first impression of Kim though, if anything I'm probably one of the few who didn't pay attention to her due to the lack of stereotypes that I could fit her in. If anything the edits didn't help either since she had an ally that I couldn't even recognize either. I was expecting a Colton, Alicia, Christina final 3 with Alicia winning and Alicia being the fan favorite for the season and Kim to be the unmemorable one eliminated early due to being unmemorable. That was Kim's problem the show made her unmemorable
Jeff was right. I was rooting for her (and Chelsea and Sabrina) harder than anyone else. I recommend people watch One World starting with Jonas' boot episode, because that's where the season really starts, or at least the good half of it. The first half is just "Let's watch Colton make a horse's ass of himself (and drag others down with him)"
Net Neutrality I wanted Colton to win originally. I thought it was a shoe in for him to win after the chicken incident in the first episode. The episode Colton was medevaced I thought Kim would be the medevac so I thought finally. I thought Kim would be medevaced and not Colton and I was waiting for her to be medevaced. Remember bill was the reason coltons tribe went to tribal despite winning immunity, bill was doing some things that left his tribe at the breaking point
That's actually what I'm betting happens. His apparent plan to blindside his closest ally alluded to in the preview from last week is destine to backfire on him.
Yeah, now that Karishma's out, going after goats is over. I don't care how much Dean pushes for it. Or if Tommy wins immunity, it's Dean and then Tommy.
Dino Hall have you seen thing about spoiled survivor. Because most of the spoilers that have been confirmed by other things they said in the post say tommy wins.
To be fair I was 10 years old when I last saw the season so maybe I'm not the best judge😅 I just remember her being awesome, and I've always thought it's weird she never returned.
The first season I ever watched was caramoan, and I thought it was pretty obvious that Cochran would win. This was before I even knew of his prior season in South Pacific. Just the way he carried himself and the confidence he had (and the editing of course). He was the only one who everyone loved and had no problem with in that finale. Dawn was disliked by Brenda and Sherri didn’t do anything and became the goat she wanted Shemar to be. But Cochran has it mentally, socially, even physically.
Nick in DvG. I knew it had to be him or Christian, I knew one member of that alliance was winning the game. Just goes to show how great this season was that even with an obvious winner it was still so entertaining. Rob and Kim were pretty obvious like you said in your list, and I felt like Sandra was pretty ovvious come the merge of HvV.
As soon as a Chris had the EOE confessional about how he wanted to play the perfect game, I realized that he was gonna come back from EOE and win. I was pretty proud of that
Todd and JT were way too obvious. But the one I'm proud of guessing correctly is Adam, based off the first thing he said to Jeff in the first episode challenge only. I could tell he would rule the social game and wouldn't need big flashy gameplay to get to the end and win.
I think jeremy(cambodia)was obvious, even with kelley wentworth getting a good edit, as soon as he mentioned that Val was pregnant it and he constantly mentioned her alot is what did it for me also Wendall(ghost island) was obvious for me too, in a similar way it was when he found the "idol"(eric's necklace) on his girlfriends birthday that had me thinking "Yeah he gonna win", even though Dom had the "decoy winner edit" it was still obvious for me also does anyone else feel like JT(tocatins) was obvious, or is it just me?
JT was so obvious that you could show that season to someone who never watched survivor before and they would guess JT would win. I mean Brenden literally says in a confessional that his job would be to get JT to the end of the game and have him win, and literally every episode had a scene where people talk about how great JT is. I mean I probably would fall into his aura as well that guy is a legend lol
the season mike won was my first season watching and i was like 11 and genuinely did not know who would win. i never realized how obvious it was until recently.
Michelle had a pretty obvious winner's edit due to her getting so many confessionals, but not ever really being in a position of power. I would also say Tom's win became obvious pretty quick. Only person I thought could win besides him was Ian.
Would you be able to have a look at the evolution (or devolution) of the challenges over Survivors history? They used to be so unique and varied, now it's just complete this course and solve a puzzle
At the final jury speech of survivor Fiji you could see the look on earl's face when he was thinking about what he was going to do with his money after he won. Same with Cochran.
Totally Tyson. Adam I never thought because he has been and always will be a snake in the game. How no one sees that just means they werent paying attention to him. That is the skill in itself.
Most obvious winners to me: Tom W, Yul, Todd, Boston Rob and Kim. Regarding Sarah, I had my hopes pinned on Cirie. And that hope blinded me enough. Regarding Earl, I felt Yau-Man had a strong edit. So I didn't think Earl was that obvious. Regarding Mike, I had no idea from Episode 1. I didn't see it coming. I thought others like Joe had a strong pre-merge edit too. I'd like Mike back in a future All Star season considering he's not in Winners At War. Same with Todd now that I mention it. Regarding Cochran, I didn't see him as an obvious winner until Andrea was gone. And even then Brenda was increasingly a possible dark horse. Pre-merge I felt good about Malcolm's chances.
The most obvious for me in Ausvivor was Pia. On day 1 she said "I'm either going to go home first, or win the game" (Because she was on the chopping block) and ever since then her winning edit was extremely obvious.
Omg How is Ben not on this list? The second he had that confessional about being a representative for vets with PTSD, my mind said "ding ding ding! We have a winner!" 🤣🤣🤣
For me what made Mike so obvious was that Jeff hyped Mike up before the season saying he was going to be one of the best and most liked winners ever .....the entire post merge cast was so unbelievably unlikeable that it became obvious that Mike had to be who Jeff was talking about.
The country boys definitely had obvious winner edits. JT and Nick were clearly the winners from the beginning, and it says a lot that their respective seasons were very entertaining despite it being somewhat clear who would win
Can you feature "playing the middle" on your next video? I loved how Sarah and Rob C were so great at it but then others failed..what makes it so hard to do?
@@jackg7538 Agreed. When he had that emotional confessional about how every day he is out on the island is a blessing it was obvious he was gonna go the distance. I mean the season being named David vs Goliath and the constant "pump up" Jeff and the edit did to the Davids from the beginning made it obvious that a David was gonna win anyway
Am I the only one who think tommy doesn’t deserve to win? I guess that doesn’t really affect if he wins or not but... Idk I don’t want him to win lol so maybe I’m in denial with his winners edit
Seraphina Edan deserve means nothing in survivor. The social aspect is the most important factor in the game. The point is to get to the end AND be likable enough to get votes. Every winner has deserved the win...except maybe Ben who had so many ridiculous advantages and production manipulations
Tommy had a brilliant social game, yes he may have played what some may call a “boring” game. BUT you have to realize everybody told Tommy EVERYTHING. The casts told Tommy that they had advantages, that he was going to be voted out, etc. The most epic thing about Tommy is that he didn’t need immunity (either hidden or individual) or advantages (never went to Island of the Idols) to make it to the final three. Got there solely by his social game. Although, if he sat next to Lauren (she won fire making challenge instead of Dean) he would’ve lost.
Jeremy valore that’s a completely fair and accurate point, I’m happy for him, I just never really took to the cast this season but that’s just me, I guess he just never really stood out to me with his accomplishments, but looking back I can understand
Thanks for the great video. Very true and well thought out. I think I would put Tony in my top 5. He was also leaps and bounds ahead of his competition. He almost tripped at the finish line, but did a great job convincing Woo to not vote him out.
I literally have never seen a winner more dominant than Kim Spradlin. It was insane. Nobody stood a chance. (Which honestly, I think Chelsea or Sabrina might have done better in another season, in the top three.) But. Really. She blazed through the entire time. Honestly, she carried that season upon her shoulders. It’d be maybe my least favourite-if it weren’t for how damn charming she was and is.
Lucien but, I never made an argument against Rob. But, if I had to--I’d say that the season Rob won was a mess. I mean, look, he played well. But, if you look at his season’s final three and Kim’s season’s three-I mean. I’d say both Sabrina and Chelsea are much better players and less idiotic than the two that sat beside Rob. They were the better players. But, my question is--is he and by extension, his season, truly better? Or-in hindsight and closer inspection-does that statement still hold as solid ground? Because, personally, if his season wasn’t full of questionable players, he would have had far more opposition instead of being obnoxiously praised. So, while I’m saying her season might have been my least favourite, and as much as I like Rob, I’d really like to play devils advocate here.
To be fair, he had no good options at that point Lose challenge: voted out Win and give immunity: voted out Win and keep immunity: no votes at final I was basically 100% sure Dreamz wasn't winning if he went to final tribal council. The jury had 3 allies he betrayed, Michelle who was obviously voting for Earl, and Yau who he betrayed.
So, the funny story is last year I went to the same school Tommy teacher( we call him mr. Sheehan) I go tho the highschool in the region and he puts the kids in HIGH WATER on days when survivor is airing, my mom teaches there and she tells me the kids are REKTs of Thursday. Especially when missy got voted out. Real nice guy, but in the end, I’m still the one who got his year book quote!
I don't think the concept really applies to BB since it plays out live. There's really no "winners edit" To be had because no one knows who the winner is.
Epiphany Yes!!! Natalie was a clear winner to me too! I don’t think the 5-2-1 vote reflected how well she played, but that was mostly because some players voted for their loved ones.
Ben from HHH was so so very so obvious, i saw him winning from the beginning also tommy from IOI was obvious from literally his very first confessional
MoldyVoldy I think a lot of it is how good their competitors look though. Cirie and Amanda were definitely stiffer competition than say Natalie and Phillip or Chelsea and Sabrina
My favorite Kim moment was when she managed to make a light hearted moment with a pig still be about the game. I could just imagine the viewers rolling their eyes and sighing, going, "OH GIRL! 🙄" 😆
Jenna, Dana, Kathy, and Sue would be 4 of my top 5...not sure who the other one would be, but not Terry, because I count that as more of a medical emergency than a quit
Yul was the most obvious for me. By the first episode, it was very clearly down to Yul or Ozzy. Once he found the idol and flipped Cao Boi's plan against him, it became pretty obvious that Yul was going to be the winner.
My first season was One World, and it took a little but to get a handle on how the survivor formula worked, but I had strong bets on Nick in DvG and Adam in Millennials vs Gen X. Idk how I guessed those two out of any other season considering they both had lots of competition, but somehow it worked.
I've been watching competitive reality shows for like my whole life and the only people that I've called as the winner in episode 1 was Ian from big brother 14, Derrick from big brother 16, Ann from ANTM Cycle 15, and Bianca del Rio from RuPaul's drag race 😂😂
I don't think I've ever seen anyone win easier than Tyson on BvW, dude literally made jokes about how much food he was stealing from his tribe and no one caught on 😂😂
For me Kim was the most obvious winner Similar to Boston Rob during redemption island Kim literally was on the screen every episode She had the women wrapped around her finger And no one ever targeted Kim The targeted Chelsea and said she was th e biggest threat I’m like HELLO Kim was the biggest threat she made all he moves Won Immunities etc. She was the most obvious winner ever Congrats to her! The only person who ever suspected her as a threat was Troyzan But again Go Kim! She clearly played a great game!!!
By Cochran's explanation, I was wondering "where the hell is Kim Spradlin" because she was the first person to pop into my mind when an obvious winner comes to mind. Im glad the video did not disappoint.
Hey Peridiam, I just listened to this weeks RHAP w/ Christian. They touched on edgic, this wasnt a term i was very familiar with. Would love a video on this subject!
Peridiam, how about making an episode of your favorite survivor challenges? maybe include both really exciting and entertaining and memorable ones as well as one you think are just too dang cool. I would love this! like so he sees
The Bo Rob Redemption Island was not a competition for Rob. His tribe seemed to embrace him as their mentor and let him use them to help him win. On the other hand Russell's tribe saw him immediately as a competitor and they voted him out. Cochran after his previous experience with his knowledge was a sure thing. Brian Heidik from Thialand had such a command over his tribe and it seemed that none of the others stood a chance.
Rob was the most obvious winner I’ve ever seen, he had the the entire island coming to him for every decision

coming on the show until he won. he was the producers favorite

I think jeremy(cambodia)was obvious, even with kelley wentworth getting a good edit, as soon as he mentioned that Val was pregnant it and he constantly mentioned her alot is what did it for me
also Wendall(ghost island) was obvious for me too, in a similar way it was when he found the "idol"(eric's necklace) on his girlfriends birthday that had me thinking "Yeah he gonna win", even though Dom had the "decoy winner edit" it was still obvious for me
also does anyone else feel like JT(tocatins) was obvious, or is it just me?
TheOscar401 I think Dom deserved it more than Wendall tbh... but Wendall was still a good winner.
I completely thought the same thing.
JT definitely had an obvious winner's edit, but it went unrecognized because of Stephen's edit taking much more of the cake
Parvati at Micronesia .. When she said "I didn't come here to starve and be miserable not to win"
the season mike won was my first season watching and i was like 11 and genuinely did not know who would win. i never realized how obvious it was until recently.
Rich practically spoiled the whole season with his first confessional
Michelle had a pretty obvious winner's edit due to her getting so many confessionals, but not ever really being in a position of power. I would also say Tom's win became obvious pretty quick. Only person I thought could win besides him was Ian.
Michelle was the only correct pick I made...incoming salty Aubry simps
Would you be able to have a look at the evolution (or devolution) of the challenges over Survivors history? They used to be so unique and varied, now it's just complete this course and solve a puzzle
At the final jury speech of survivor Fiji you could see the look on earl's face when he was thinking about what he was going to do with his money after he won. Same with Cochran.
Washing dishes on my birthday.
You could also make an argument for Tyson or Tony based on the edits in those seasons
I was waiting for someone to mention Tyson. I knew as soon as the merge hit that it was going to be him.
Nah Tyson wasn’t that obvious there were contenders like Sierra and tina
I thought Adam Klein was the pretty obvious winner in 33. Also Tyson in 27.
You had more of a read than I did, because the Adam win came out of nowhere for me...I was fully expecting it to be David
Totally Tyson. Adam I never thought because he has been and always will be a snake in the game. How no one sees that just means they werent paying attention to him. That is the skill in itself.
Yeah idk why people were suprised
Cochran wrote a thesis on the jury system of Survivor.
If you watch the Australian Version, the David In All Stars as super obvious
The most obvious for me in Ausvivor was Pia. On day 1 she said "I'm either going to go home first, or win the game" (Because she was on the chopping block) and ever since then her winning edit was extremely obvious.
abbey miranda yea super obvious! I don’t gamble but I told my mate to put money on it
She cheated on one of the challenges she let go before Luke did
no it wasn't, she was in the background for literally the whole season, David, Luke, Harry and Janine were contenders for most of it.
Everyone in the comments are saying obvious winners “IN HINDSIGHT” HAHAHAAHA
I just love how in praising and lifting Kim up, he also takes a swipe at Crystal.
Rhandell Rubio watch Australian survivor and pay attention to Sharne just don’t be her and you’ve won haha
For me personally, Nick was by far the most obvious winner
I picked him as the winner after just looking at both tribes!
I picked him as the winner, but there was 1 or 2 other people I thought could do it going into that finale.
Episode 2 was the give away there where he talked about how grateful he was that Pat’s medevac spared him.
I saw him winning when he started naming his alliance
@@jackg7538 Agreed. When he had that emotional confessional about how every day he is out on the island is a blessing it was obvious he was gonna go the distance. I mean the season being named David vs Goliath and the constant "pump up" Jeff and the edit did to the Davids from the beginning made it obvious that a David was gonna win anyway
Mike Holloway is a legend. Wish he was in game changers or even WaW
ME TOOOO! loved him!
Sarah, JT, Kim, Rob, Tom Westman
Jeremy valore Lauren would have beaten everyone besides maybe Janet in the post merge
I only know who's going to win on finale nights, before then I am blind the whole show lmao.
Honestly, that's a better way of watching it, suspense-wise.
Thanks for the great video. Very true and well thought out. I think I would put Tony in my top 5. He was also leaps and bounds ahead of his competition. He almost tripped at the finish line, but did a great job convincing Woo to not vote him out.
JT? Felt like everyone loved him and thought he was the greatest human ever. He wasn’t going to lose to anyone.
I'd actually put Mike at #1. Some of his confessionals are the most obvious example of a winners edit I've ever seen.
Can you do a video talking about Australian Survivor and Survivor South Africa? both versions are incredible!
I literally have never seen a winner more dominant than Kim Spradlin. It was insane. Nobody stood a chance. (Which honestly, I think Chelsea or Sabrina might have done better in another season, in the top three.)
But.
Lucien I’ll respect your thoughts. I did say one world is a mess. Twice. I’m not going to say it’s a good season
During the airing of EoE, My dad pegged Chris immediately..... and then he got voted out. And then, thanks to EoE, he did win! 😂😂😂
I bet Maryann would win the minute she got on the beach on survivor 42 and I predicted Jenny would be the 1st on her tribe voted out that same season
After Denise's first confesional, I knew she was winning. Even when the start of the season was not that good for her
either her or Malcolm
No, you had a guess which turned out to be correct.
That is not knowledge.
All though I’m happy Earl won, it still hurts that Dreamz didn’t give Yau his immunity
To be fair, he had no good options at that point
Lose challenge: voted out
Win and give immunity: voted out
Win and keep immunity: no votes at final
I was basically 100% sure Dreamz wasn't winning if he went to final tribal council. The jury had 3 allies he betrayed, Michelle who was obviously voting for Earl, and Yau who he betrayed.
Peridiam, Apply for survivor and be a goat on there like you are on these videos !! Keep doing this good work man
BEEEEEN from HVHVH, that was soooooooooo obvious.
Piero Luque the producers really did that
i cant WAIT to see kim on WAW. she’s gonna kill it, she is my favorite survivor winner ever
this comment has not aged well
You’re awesome bro! Great content. Algorithms sent me here and I have been binge watching all day!
Mike Smith Thanks man!
Jeremy on 2nd chances, probably not a bad thing when they combine you and a tiger in the intro lol
Oddly enough I predicted Adam from the very first time I saw him
I 1000% agree with Kim, Cochran and Rob; but I'd put J.T. and Tom in the top5 with them.
If you haven't already, you should make a video like this about The Amazing Race and Big Brother winners.
I don't think the concept really applies to BB since it plays out live. There's really no "winners edit" To be had because no one knows who the winner is.
They know who stands where and who has better chances of winning than other people though
Tom from Palau was like 🥱 let’s get this over with
I thought for sure you would include Tyson from Blood vs. Water.
There has only been 2 winners that I was able to call from episode one of their season and that was Natalie from SJDS and Ben from HvHvH
Epiphany Yes!!! Natalie was a clear winner to me too! I don’t think the 5-2-1 vote reflected how well she played, but that was mostly because some players voted for their loved ones.
I knew Chris Underwood would win as soon as he was voted out third on Edge of Extinction
Ben from HHH was so so very so obvious, i saw him winning from the beginning also tommy from IOI was obvious from literally his very first confessional
Ben was more obvious than Mike only because of the blatant clue in the opening credits.
Parvati in Micronesia was as obvious to me as Rob and Kim were. She had so many same confessionals it could have taken up a couple episodes alone.
MoldyVoldy I think a lot of it is how good their competitors look though. Cirie and Amanda were definitely stiffer competition than say Natalie and Phillip or Chelsea and Sabrina
Brian Heidek, Ben, Yul Kwan, Richard, Boston Rob via Amber on all stars, Aras, Tom
My favorite Kim moment was when she managed to make a light hearted moment with a pig still be about the game. I could just imagine the viewers rolling their eyes and sighing, going, "OH GIRL! 🙄" 😆
That was Kim's ultimate game bot moment for sure.
Top 5 most reasonable quits, feel like there are certainly some interesting unique quits in this game, some being more reasonable than others lol
Especially Dana and Jenna M.
Jenna, Dana, Kathy, and Sue would be 4 of my top 5...not sure who the other one would be, but not Terry, because I count that as more of a medical emergency than a quit
Tom Westman, Dick Hatch, and I would say Wendell too, if not for Chris Noble's sick rhymes ;)
Brian Heidik and Yul Kwon would probably be my most obvious of the people that weren't mentioned in the video.
Not allowed to mention Brian anymore after the bow and arrow incident.
For a second I thought I was watching top 5 most shocking winners
Ugh truly couldn't stand Cochran so didn't let myself believe he would win but on re-watch it was very obvious.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone win easier than Tyson on BvW, dude literally made jokes about how much food he was stealing from his tribe and no one caught on 😂😂
For me Kim was the most obvious winner
Similar to Boston Rob during redemption island
Kim literally was on the screen every episode
She had the women wrapped around her finger
And no one ever targeted Kim
The targeted Chelsea and said she was th e biggest threat
I’m like HELLO
Kim was the biggest threat she made all he moves
Won Immunities etc.
She was the most obvious winner ever
Congrats to her!
The only person who ever suspected her as a threat was Troyzan
But again Go Kim!
She clearly played a great game!!!
By Cochran's explanation, I was wondering "where the hell is Kim Spradlin" because she was the first person to pop into my mind when an obvious winner comes to mind. Im glad the video did not disappoint.
i knew richard from the second i saw the editing done and the way he thought and played every second
Hey Peridiam,
I just listened to this weeks RHAP w/ Christian. They touched on edgic, this wasnt a term i was very familiar with. Would love a video on this subject!
I thought JT was wayyyyy up there. But still, great choices.
Good Videos As Usual! Keep up the good work! 🥰
It's obvious that Peridiam will take 5 minutes before getting to the actual list
I definitely trolled a bit with this one 🤭
