Definitely one of the most useful features (just behind quick shifter). They helped me to prolong driving season till mid November, than snow and salt came. Is was still comfortable around -1 °C at least for 20 min. on hot setting.
Using them in the UK with morning temps around 0 to 3 degrees Celsius. Not as hot as some of the after market products but for original equipment option they're not bad.
Heated grips are awesome, we use them sometimes in the early summer mornings while riding in the northwest. The great part is being able to wear summer weight gloves, using the heat to augment for comfort.
I'm a cheapskate, heated inner gloves are awesome and really cheap. But it's like being a child with those strings down your sleeves too stop you losing your mittens!
Have you recently got your Trident? Or had it serviced recently? There is a software issue with new bikes (and older ones that had had a service and update) I got mine a few weeks ago and the grips barely works, should be an update available any time now which will sort it
@@TheOllycj Hello! I read online at tiger660 forum that an update will be available by the end of October :) The dealer said that 2021 models should not update to the current one and wait til the fix comes out. It's getting cold I hope this comes soon!

I'm still on the fence about the quick shifter. I've heard that it's great, but I also love how light and easy the clutch is.
I do enjoy the heated grips also. Mid to upper 40's here in AZ as well, and I find that Med to High work well on the commute to work in the AM.
This is my second bike with heated grips. I'm so spoiled now I don't think I'd want a bike without them.

Haven't been out in those temps yet, but good to know they will stay warm even then.
Great video.
After installing the grips did they automatically work or did you have to get a software update at a dealer? Thanks
They worked right away. The dealer said they needed to update the software, but it worked fine.

Totally agree!

LOL. At least with the gloves, every bike you ride has heat.
Great video!
Thank you.
Mine feels only warm to touch on bare hands.
Unlike my honda that goes up to 80c and it very hot to touch
That sounds excessively hot.

Relatively speaking..😉
10c is very hot especially in summer! I like to go to the beach when it goes down around -23304c
