the reason ichika and miku have so many duets too btw is because l/n is a band configured group. it works as in there's a main singer, main bassist, etc. which is why you see ichika with most lines in almost all of l/n's songs. it's annoying to people, but i think it's cool how they've configured their songs differently because of it :)
i don’t blame you for raising this point but honestly it’s kinda moot when you consider a few things. Firstly, in actuality these are purely vocal covers, SEKAI Leo/Need covers do not cover the entire instrumentation of a song. If they did and these characters actually did play their instruments i’m positive people wouldn’t have as much of an issue with how unfair the vocal distribution of Leo/Need is. Secondly, Saki, Shiho and Honami are performed by very talented voice actors with beautiful voices, so it kinda stings when, even in their focus songs, Ichika ends up singing the most lines generally or Ichika gets duet songs while the others don’t. Again i understand why people say this but it’s not something i agree with, sorry if it seems like i’m lecturing you I promise i’m not i’m just venting my frustrations lol

stella is also special in that it's the only commissioned song with a 2Dmv that doesn't feature OCs or vocaloids in it and instead has a nameless new character in it. Just be friends and nostalogic are the only cover songs that have exclusively 2Dmvs focusing on the vocaloids instead of the OCs. Other ones that do like lost one's weeping are alternate versions released after the OCs got their 2Dmv and were made to match the virtual singer alt version of the song rather than the original.

Stella is a song about friendship and reconnecting with friends. Both characters who got an alt, Shiho and Honami, had to take time to reconnect with Saki, Then they eventually did. If Saki had a cover, it would go against the songs meaning of reconnecting and friendship.
i think for ai no material was partially bc they couldn't make the cover work (i think data mining showed that haruka would have had an alt), but also given the theme of ai no material, it kinda makes sense that minori has an alt (like she's singing for haruka. idk tho just rambling)
as a haruka oshi im upset ab it too, but i think its bc ai no material is more fitting as a song being sung *to* someone like haruka, rather than *by* her, since the song is about telling someone that its ok to take a break and not overwork themselves, and that they dont have to pretend its not difficult to keep working so hard every day. basically what the other members were trying to tell haruka during the break time event.

I have another one! Cellphone love story is the only song with a 2dmv that is only the game-size instead of full. As well as it being the only commission to be re-commissioned (if you don’t get what I mean, cellphone love story was originally going to be Niigo’s full unit song but then got replaced by composing the future) Also you can count hashiru! Tooku! Todoku! As the only commissioned song to have an utauloid (teto) sing the original song Edit: Sorry I made a few mistakes. I forgot that Teto isn't just an utauloid and hashiru tooku todoku actually uses the synthv voicebank, a better way to phrase that is non-vocaloid. Also, Virtual Singer 2dmvs aren't full-size either, but Cellphone Love Story is the only SEKAI version 2dmv to not be full. I genuinely forgot that virtual singer 2dmvs exist. Both of these mistakes were on my part, sorry about that!

the 2d mv one is bc they started giving every single comm a 2d mv from the 4th comms round and have even given characters earlier comms 2d mvs that they didn't originally get! (machi, samsa, kashika and showtime ruler for example)

No, the real reason is that, back then, the original composers were able to choose which vocaloids would be in the sekai version. They wanted both kaito and meiko in the song, and colopale didn't want 6 singers for a commissioned song, so it was turned into a ruinene song instead. This hasn't happened ever again because the composers don't get to choose the vocaloids anymore.
3:50 the same also happened for leo/need's 2nd rotation where 3 focuses made to order (ichika), from tokyo (saki), and stage of sekai (honami) also got 3d mv's (edited) also l/n 1st rotation is the only rotation with 1 3d mv, stella (saki)
and some of the characters get like double 2dmvs or double 3dmvs, like nene who had double 2dmvs during the first 2 rotations or ena who had double 3dmvs
From Tokyo was part of the 1st rotation because leo/need's fourth event was a second saki focus instead of ichika. Ichika didn't get a focus until the second rotation. So it was still 2 3dmvs and 2 2dmvs.
I think another thing is that Cellphone Love Story is the only commissioned song that isnt tied to an event or collab without full group (not including Nijiro story) in addition to that it is part of the game release Nightcord first singles album, while most single albums have 2 commisioned songs Nightcord's first album solo has 3 because of Cellphone Love Story being a commisioned
I want to point out as well, "I'm Mine" sounds different in game compared to the version released on RUclips by the producer, which I find to be a bit odd.
What it seems like to me is that for all the world link songs they do the tuning on their NT voicebanks instead of whichever ones the producer originally used, but closely imitating their style (and probably just inputting a bunch of their settings into a different program), which makes it sound similar but slightly worse, which isn't as noticeable in Twilight Light and Beyond the Way because Miku doesn't have that many lines, but it's *very* noticeable in I'm Mine cause it's all Vocaloids
idk if this counts since it’s more of a gameplay note but usually a song’s level jumps between 3-6 whenever you change the difficulty. However, ray is 24 Expert & 26 Master and Magical Cure Love Shot is 28 Expert & 30 Master. There could be more songs breaking this rule but I wouldn’t really remember
1:51 yoru ni kakeru is also one of the only songs to have the "virtual singer version" to not be the actual original one! others are made to order and tera tera, idk if there are others fhi
do you mean that it uses a different vocaloid/voicebank in the pjsk virtual singer version than in the original vocaloid version? because im pretty sure the pjsk V.S. version for yoru ni kakeru was made FOR project sekai using Miku NT, but Ayase had already made a miku version way before (sorry if this is kinda hard to understand lmao)

an unspoken rule for me: the 2dmv of commissioned songs having the event's clothes. Tricologe broke this, since they wear their normal clothes instead of the gacha ones

2:49 sky patrol of tomorrow is not the only song that is sung by 1 OC. Kohane sung a song for one of her events. I think it was for kick it up a notch but I could be totally wrong. I also have no clue what the name of that song was. It doesn’t even have a chart or anything. There could be more songs like that that I don’t know of though, so I can’t say for sure that Kohane’s is the only one like that

cellphone love story and kuyamu to kaite mirai are both first untitleds it makes n25 have most untitled (twilight light added a month after 3rd anni) (cellphone love story was composed for n25 main story but they didnt find it dark enough so Mafumafu composed kuyamu to kaite mirai also both cellphone love story and kuyamu to kaite mirai is composed by Mafumafu)
i want to add something: in the second focus rotation, EVERYONE got an alt cover of their focus song except nene and emu, glory steady go still doesnt have a nene alt cover and niccori survey team still doesnt have an emu alt cover
considering how frankly awful the tuning in sekai covers is i really wish there were more full group covers without vocaloids in the game. Just thinking of how n25’s cover of godish without miku and ESPECIALLY mmj’s cover of Kyu Kurarin without MEIKO would sound gives me chills but alasssss

cellphone love story was supposed to be niigo's song, but mafumafu (or the directors, it's been a while i can't remember the exact details) thought that the song wasn't edgy enough, so he wrote composing the future for niigo but they still used cellphone love story! because of that, it's the only commisioned project sekai song that isn't tied to a story or a collaboration
a lot of why some of these songs were the way they were were because Sakai was a completely new project and they were still figuring things out. nowadays, project management has been more deliberate but many changes have happened throughout this series’ lifetime~ for example, nijiiro stories is one of a kind because the team had thought they should commission artists with vocaloids that they were skilled with, e.g. OSTER with Meiko and Kaito, DIVELA with Rin, 164 with Luka. also, fun fact for all of the songs that have no vocaloids, they’re all songs that are originally sung by none of the main 6 vocaloids in the game (half excluding Happy Synthesizer lol), Goodbye Sengen-Flower, Chururira-Una, and Amanojaku-Gumi. ofc there are songs that have vocaloid covers that aren’t originally sang by our Main 6, but maybe the tuning just wasn’t good enough for these powerhouses of songs. also, L/N did start off a little funky but very understandable at the time, since bands are typically one vocalist, but fans wanted to hear more of the other girls since many of the other groups are already singing so much and we have the alts for our band members, so what’s the point in hiding their voices if you don’t even hear them till you buy the alt vocals for them? lol their songs are also becoming more versatile, where the lyrics they sing typically apply to the characters themselves.
I know this video didn't include the cup noodle songs, probably since theyre in the other catagory aka the "fuck it whatever" catagory, but Noodle Ban is the only sekai cover that is explicitly stated to be sung by Robo-Nene, instead of actual Nene!

No, the real reason is that, back then, the original composers were able to choose which vocaloids would be in the sekai version. They wanted both kaito and meiko in the song, and colopale didn't want 6 singers for a commissioned song, so it was turned into a ruinene song instead. This hasn't happened ever again because the composers don't get to choose the vocaloids anymore.
I like to think that this is the song that those four characters sang near the end of Nene’s first event.
Here's an interesting one: Jackpot Sad Girl is the only commission song (not counting the Evillious collab) to not have any kind of MV on release

the thing is that if you look at the mvs for the 1-4 rotation, you'd see like all characters have 2 3dmv and 2 2dmv
and some of the characters get like double 2dmvs or double 3dmvs, like nene who had double 2dmvs during the first 2 rotations or ena who had double 3dmvs
From Tokyo was part of the 1st rotation because leo/need's fourth event was a second saki focus instead of ichika. Ichika didn't get a focus until the second rotation. So it was still 2 3dmvs and 2 2dmvs.

I want to point out as well, "I'm Mine" sounds different in game compared to the version released on RUclips by the producer, which I find to be a bit odd.
What it seems like to me is that for all the world link songs they do the tuning on their NT voicebanks instead of whichever ones the producer originally used, but closely imitating their style (and probably just inputting a bunch of their settings into a different program), which makes it sound similar but slightly worse, which isn't as noticeable in Twilight Light and Beyond the Way because Miku doesn't have that many lines, but it's *very* noticeable in I'm Mine cause it's all Vocaloids
If you think I’m Mine sounds different, look at Passion at 25:00!! The entirety of the strumming is gone!

I also have no clue what the name of that song was. It doesn’t even have a chart or anything. There could be more songs like that that I don’t know of though, so I can’t say for sure that Kohane’s is the only one like that

cellphone love story was supposed to be niigo's song, but mafumafu (or the directors, it's been a while i can't remember the exact details) thought that the song wasn't edgy enough, so he wrote composing the future for niigo but they still used cellphone love story! because of that, it's the only commisioned project sekai song that isn't tied to a story or a collaboration
it doesn't have an event because it was a scrapped nightcord untitled (before composing the future) that they decided to still release 😋

One rule that I've noticed is that pretty much all songs have the word 'sekai' somewhere in the lyrics
a lot of why some of these songs were the way they were were because Sakai was a completely new project and they were still figuring things out. nowadays, project management has been more deliberate but many changes have happened throughout this series’ lifetime~
for example, nijiiro stories is one of a kind because the team had thought they should commission artists with vocaloids that they were skilled with, e.g. OSTER with Meiko and Kaito, DIVELA with Rin, 164 with Luka. also, fun fact for all of the songs that have no vocaloids, they’re all songs that are originally sung by none of the main 6 vocaloids in the game (half excluding Happy Synthesizer lol), Goodbye Sengen-Flower, Chururira-Una, and Amanojaku-Gumi. ofc there are songs that have vocaloid covers that aren’t originally sang by our Main 6, but maybe the tuning just wasn’t good enough for these powerhouses of songs.
also, L/N did start off a little funky but very understandable at the time, since bands are typically one vocalist, but fans wanted to hear more of the other girls since many of the other groups are already singing so much and we have the alts for our band members, so what’s the point in hiding their voices if you don’t even hear them till you buy the alt vocals for them? lol
their songs are also becoming more versatile, where the lyrics they sing typically apply to the characters themselves.
I know this video didn't include the cup noodle songs, probably since theyre in the other catagory aka the "fuck it whatever" catagory, but Noodle Ban is the only sekai cover that is explicitly stated to be sung by Robo-Nene, instead of actual Nene!
