I don't normally comment but thought I'd share a thought. I've been an artist all my life (65) though not my primary job so to speak. You are at the beginning of your journey. I started off like many kids, copying comics and dreaming up things. Later in life I did graphite portraits and wildlife for many years. Then got into painting. Then doing cartoon presentations. Also got into drywall art for quite awhile. Woven in there I learned to do computer graphics with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I am now learning to use computer sculpting programs and 3D resin printing to produce my own figures. My point is, after all that is that you never stop learning new things as an artist. Take on something you've never tried before. If something catches your fancy, go for it. It's not like you will lose the skills you already have gained. As an artist new skills always keeps you engaged and on your toes. Hope all that made sense. I do enjoy watching your creative journey and now going to Italy! Good for you Carly. Take care and have a wonderful Christmas season, Brian
I'm a hairstylist/photographer in Canada...... and you are an absolute inspiration. Travel well m'lady..... enjoy your studies. 🙏❤
Love this piece Carly. Also the background of clouds is a great idea, would like to see the fabric dissolve into the clouds more.
The background of the painting has such a beautiful, dreamlike quality to it. Please do videos on your new Florence course you are taking.

Ficou linda sua pintura. Belíssima!
Carly you are just extra ordinary Amazing love the way you observe da things and really extra ordinary execution. Breathtakingly beautiful artwork.
Your videos care so inspiring to my own art journey in portraiture. I'd love to see longer form videos like the one you made about Angus entering his contest. That was epic . Much love . Thanks.
That’s one of my favorite videos too!! Great I’ll make more like that 😊
🙋Great result, congratulations! Great video👍👌🥰😍
Thank you Carly for creating this channel. Can’t wait to see your school vlogs!
I just discovered your video here... lovely all around, esp. the break outside. I love to see how people live in other locations. My comment is that you may want to try slightly brighter lighting and from a better angle... because as you work (speeded up) your hands made rapid shadows enough that there became a distracting, almost photostrobic effect. Sound quality with your voice over is great. And thanks for your heartfelt advice about never stopping the learning process.
As I've mentioned before, you are an exceptionally good filmmaker. I love the local references and your arrangement of shots. Including your mentor adds a very nice level of immediacy to the flow. I do like seeing your various looks (the black outfit really sets off your coloring) but they do sometimes feel a little "showy."
Looking forward to you Italian venture.

Another stunning work! What we want to see? Just you painting. It's so inspiring and I learn a lot from you. You always scare the hell out of me when I see you paint over something that already looks good but then you make it better. 😅 Thank you for sharing. (And maybe you should learn to love the rain. It can be so cosy and make you feel good. Try something new like stepping out and get wet just for fun. 🌹)

Hi, love your art and these vlogs. Nice to notice that you don't use frames. I was wondering should I also stop using them because the paintings takes so much space. What are the specific reasons for you to that? :) I notice that you use nail clincher to hang the canvas. Do you have an extra panel in front of the wall? Thank You, if You have time to answer.
Your skin tones and use of light is so beautiful! One question, do you colour correct/grade the videos that you post, or are they completely out of camera?
P.S- That sky reminds me of an album cover of Phaeleh’s Lost Time.
Thank you so much, I graded the shots of me walking to the lighthouse, the really orange shot of the beach was actually my camera through my sunglasses - haha I loved the orange atmospheric feel. But for the shots of my artworks and Studio, I never color grade those - it’s just straight out of the camera. I do this because I like it to feel as natural as possible, but also because it takes forever to render if I do colorgrade haha
Carly: are you going to put together some snippets on your trip to Florence? I think it will be interesting to grow along with your journey as you experience your tip there....
I am wondering if you can get feedback from teachers as well....
good luck with your journey!!!
You said you are learning Italian, please sprinkle a few new Italian words and meaning into your videos, for us to learn. I am SO excited for you.
I am happier on rainy days and feel more productive.
Wish you well in Florence and the experience gives you confidence in your Art choice works. 😊 looking forward to watching your channel and new works. 😊🙏🏾🦘🦘👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Incrível, tento aprender um pouco com vc.
Menina, parabéns pelo seu talento, aliás, lhe peço desculpas por "invejar" esse talento, só sei pintar parede e muito feio, me pinto mais do que a parede.
Nice view, like always❤️😘
Do you paint wet on wet? Love your art🥰
Hello there, and Good morning to you 🌻 I'm sending you some Happy wishes and wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. Bless you and your family always 🌹🙏✌️🦃🌹🎀🌹
Genial
nice ❤
Wait, you draw those freehand ?! I always assumed you use a projector ! Not that there is anything wrong with a projector, but how do you judge proportions on works that big without a projector ?!
you`re pretty

Você é casada?

There is a lot of skill and patience required when painting walls too 😊🙌🏼 I paint myself more at times too!
