    Great video, Gaston! Just picked up the Canon EOS R. I own the RF 85mm 2.0. Am strongly considering the RF 50mm 1.2. Your video inspired me for this! Yanna is stunning. Your session is engaging. Your location is amazing. This was a very inspiring and terrific video, Gaston. First ever for me of your channel! Bravo :)!! I'm subscribed!

    Great video, thank you. Which picture profile do you use?

    You need to shoot the canon Rf 85mm 1.2 ds. I hated the regular 85mm 1.2, It looks like the 35mm Sucks to be honest. So I would say RF 50mm & RF 85mm 1.2 DS is the way to go

    That 85 is a dream to use. I did notice it focused slow in low light but other than that I loved it.

      Matt Gissentanna most 85mm do. My Sony f1.4 it’s also slow in low light. Glad you are loving the RF

    I love the 85. The 50 looks great too and so does the 35 but my personal favorite focal length for portraits is 85, guess I'm a bit biased.

      I used the Godox trigger. Love this location. It changed a bit already.

    Simply wonderful shots. Mostly edited in Lightroom I guess, but very very nice.

    Great vid. Remember to turn off camera when changing lenses so the sensor is protected. I forget too sometimes ☺️

    Hey man! Wow awesome color edits my friend!
    I wanted to ask you... I’m between the RF 35 and Sigma 35mm f1.4 ART or maybe the Tamron 35mm f1.4 SP.
    Have you tried them? Is there a lot of difference between the RF and those lenses?

    • @GastonShutters
      @GastonShutters  4 года назад

      I’ve tried the sigma in the Sony system. I love it. The sigma is 1.4 the RF is a f1.8. But sigma and Tamron don’t make RF lenses yet.

      Gaston Shutters yeah, I know...
      How about image quality? How does this RF stand against the sigma??

      Gaston Shutters sharpness? I mean, is it good enough to do like “client work”?

    • @GastonShutters
      @GastonShutters  4 года назад

      Both lenses are good. But they are both different. The Sigma I have is for Sony Mount. If you are taking about the canon RF it is sharp and as a matter of fact I have a video up where I shot with it with sample images. Right here ruclips.net/video/H7THxbTIbgc/видео.html

      Gaston Shutters yeah yeah I know Sigma doesn’t have RF Mount... I would use the EF version with my adapter...

    I'm primarily a corporate headshot photographer. Images from both lense look great, but if you could only have one, which would you choose?

      I think based on all the research I have done having similar needs the 50 f1.2 seems to be the better more versatile choice.

    The shadow going across her face? 😳 Not good. Bad photos bro... lighten is all over the place. Amateur stuff. Learn light. Cutting off limbs? Come on bro. 35mm makes hand look huge...not good for portrait.

      Art means we get to choose our style. I agree with Andrew above. Gaston is amazing. Your choices on lighting and framing are yours. Also likely very fine. But to define everything in "one way," "OUR" way...is to miss the creativity and the art of photography. My opinion here :)! I think we need to be inclusive of variety :)!

      👍you nail it. I cut limbs, destabilize horizon lines, light up weird some times, chop off heads, cast shadows where most won’t ... breaking the rules is more fun than following them some times.
