with your ABSOLUTLY AMAZING Dreadnought i found finally my Recipe for the new Stormcast Eternal... now i got Stormblood Eternalangels ! thank you so much :)
With regards to content I like your approach of making the process approachable and achievable by everyone. I do also like to watch content that pushes me a little further in my techniques. However there is a balance since I stepped back from insta a bit and Facebook groups I've found enjoyment again in the process rather than feeling like I can never achieve what I'm seeing. I've got the stls to print out from the grey tide campaign on my mini factory. Gonna fire up the forges this weekend and start getting pieces printed out for my force. I really like the upgrades they've done so you can take the model to a more personal object than just straight box builds.
I backed this on MMF and it comes with so many parts, really well supported too. I prefer your content over the high end painters... watching them ultimately reminds me I dont have the time or patience to get that good. Great video as ever mateychops!
I'm at a point in my painting journey where my time is best spent actually painting. What I use content online for is general inspiration, when I see a video that is interesting it helps me to tackle my backlog.
8:40 Yeah, I know following your tutorials I may not win Golden Demon, but they're really high quality. You definitely improved an awful lot over the last few years that I've been watching you not only with your painting skills but also with your editing skills.
I was scrolling too fast through Instagram, saw this awesome dreadnought, tried to scroll back, and ended up refreshing the feed so I thought I lost the post forever. Then I open YT and there it is!
i havent printed mine out yet. do you have to replace the original minis parts, or do you just place them over them? your redemptors really look great as well
Been debating whether or not I want a BA army since they did the new bits and since this GreyTide release AND since I happen to be reading Echoes of Eternity at the moment. I think you might have sealed it for me. For Sanguinius! Great video mate, keep it up.
Great stuff :-) I am going to wait a week or two more before downloading the STLs myself since some have been pointed out to have some issues. But I am excited to use them for my BA army :-D
@@matthieumnt4341 unfortunately it turns gold. But you should check out my videos painting imperil fists dreadnoughts. I use contrast and it turns out nice.
First time seeing their parts, they look cool. I prefer your style of video as its grounded for those of us who work 40 hour weeks so don't have time to burn. Other more intense content is great but can be off putting 😊
OK, I've never been one to use 3D printed bits on my models, I either love the personal touch of doing the conversions myself, or I'm too afraid the GW police will bash my door in and stomp on my models. But these look really good and I'm tempted to pick some up once my funds are a little better.
I really like the parts, and the last time you showed off their parts I had a look but none of their resellers sold the full range of Ultramarine parts, some had a few but it's hard to justify spending double the cost due to shipping to Australia. So alas, no way for me to get them, but I like seeing them painted up nicely :)
Ah that sucks, might be worth contacting them about that-they might not realise they’re missing out on a big market there? Or b able to offer you some options? Another idea is getting the files yourself and having a more local company print them for you?
@@MediocreHobbies Who would I go about contacting, and through what platform? Most sellers stock only Black Templar, with a few doing Blood Angel and Space Wolves. There aren't any local companies so I'd have to contact a store on Etsy, and getting custom prints from Etsy seems to cost around double to triple normal rates so I want to avoid that, as I'd have to purchase the stls on top of that.
@@BurnInFerNos1 I'd contact greytide studios directly first to see what they say about availability in Australia! ! This collection is barely completed by the way so sellers wont have it available for a little bit!
@@MediocreHobbies I'm not seeing any Ultramarine parts anymore, seems like I got confused with this brand, there's so many printing services and model lines and they all seem to be really confusing to navigate on purpose. All to avoid copyright I guess. Thanks though.
While I certainly enjoy watching the artwork level videos they do make me want to just give up painting entirely. Your videos make me actually want to get my hands on it and try it out. Like now I really want to do a redemptor with those greytide parts
I NEED these parts. Had them in my cart on etsy but now I'm committing to the purchase. In the meantime can I build the brutalis as is? Like, do these go on OVER the basic armor plates?
You can buy the physical products, just go to the ‘about campaign’ section in the link provided, there’s a whole section on the physical products, plus a list of licenced vendors as well that will sell physical models on Etsy etc.
Thats an awesome job. One question, and I don't entirely know how to phrase it, but how much of a miniature must be GW produced for it to be GT acceptable? Why do GW let people like Greytide produce 40k stuff (that literally is a fit for a GW product) without suing them, but someone makes a helmet on thingiverse and they get a cease and desist. Idve thought it was profit related as technically, you could design and sculpt them for a resin printer yourself or , if you were skilled enough, make it out of greenstuff, clay etc.
I bought this kit and thought that the shoulders and shins had been printed way too big. I see you've used these pieces over the top of the original shoulders and shins rather than replacements for them... Now I'm unsure of what they had intended...
The link is to a crowdfunded campaign on their myminifactory account where you can see all their designs or click the ‘buy now’ button on the landing page of the link.
always appreciate you "you can do this" attitude
Love watching your painting videos, you are usually my go to first - always feel inspired and that I could do it
@@markduffy4096 that’s so kind pal. Thank you.
Love that set. They also have some great icon and vehicle accessories.
You can see how the Greytide Primal Hounds bits look on the invictor warsuit in my Combat Patrol video! Love this studio and the bits they make.
@@thehammerofwrath thank you so much. I just signed and will have a look.

Stunning paint job, the armour pieces look fantastic
Thank you! Cheers!
Intimidates totally! Your process is fab, helped me loads!

It's amazing! Could you show in a video about how to assemble all the greytide upgrade parts?
That turned out fantastic.
Thank you!
Great video Andy this dread looks amazing finished. I love Greytides sculpts I just need him to do Chaos legion themed bits 🤣
Ohhhh that would be very cool
I'm a big fan of your approach, you've got me excited to get painting again!

Not gonna lie, I was hoping that you'll paint the dread as a Flesh Tearer, but hey, great job nonetheless :)!
Haha I really wanted to but it wouldn’t have worked as well!
Andy i ordered same kit but what glue should i use to connect it with plastic? Thanks!
I sue super glue!
Bit of gloss varnish over the gems and blood drops would make them stand out
Great idea!
One month later I’m still waiting for my order from greytide
Have you contacted them?
@ yeah, they said bigger orders takes longer, but didn’t know it would be that long :’)
Are Flesh Eaters the same red ?
No there a darker shade.
Hay. Have you tryd out the Army Painters Fanatic paint Tainted Gold. Its my new favorit gold paint =)
Yeah it's so good! I stick to GW paints for GW models but those metallics are class
looks fantastic but it would be great if you could recomend who can print them as a package, it looks like you can only buy the stl files.
