It is simular to the skogsö from Fjällräven. The only thing which i dont like about the skogsö is that its mad mainly out of lite G1000. Is the garment thicker here?
Hey Daniel, I've been using the pile version for a few weeks now and everything about the non insulated one (e.g. fit and the arm articulation) as mentioned in this video is pretty spot on. The pile just adds some decent insulation that has kept me warm in the lower single digits. The arms have a bit thinner insulation that's lined with something smooth. The finishing on the stitching isn't as good as I'd hope for the jacket at full price, but I got it with a hefty discount so I'm happy with it.
@@tohuka_dtx Do you think that the Pile has the same 'slim' fit as this one or is it made a bit wider? Trying to figure out if I need an L or an XL. I'm 6'3 and 91kg.
@@MrWARRIORMONKS My chest is 99 cm (~39") and I wear a Medium which their size chart says is good for chest sizes 94 cm - 100 cm. It fits me well and doesn't seem overly baggy or constricting even if I'm wearing a base layer and sweater underneath. The jacket doesn't seem to get wider or narrower toward the waist area either. I'd say to look at Lundhag's website and their size guide for their jackets.
Hi, it is virtually no different. Both are made from Polyester and Cotton, both can be waxed and both can be used with Nikwax Cotton Proof to improve their water resistance. The only real difference is that Lundhags use a DWR (durable water repellent) coating on their fabric, whereas Fjallraven use wax. Regards, Harry.
Thanks harry for the prompt detailed response. Can DWR material be applied after a few wash? Do they sell it in a spray can? I assume that Fjallraven wax should work as well.
No problem. Nikwax Cotton Proof (an option of DWR) can be applied to both Fjallraven and Lundhags products. This will wear off after around 5 washes, however it's incredibly easy to apply again. This isn't sold in a spray can, it's sold in a bottle which you place in the washing machine (all of the instructions are on the bottle itself). Fjallraven wax works just as well, simply rubbing the wax onto the jacket and then melting the wax in with a hairdryer adds a thick layer of wind and water repellency, however it does impact weight. Fjallraven's wax is more durable but heavier. Below is a link to Cotton Proof: www.trekitt.co.uk/2454/products/nikwax-cotton-proof-300ml.aspx
Is this about the same length wise as the Fjällräven Skogsö? I seem to recall that the Skogsö is a bit prolonged over the backside, which I like.
It is almost identical in length; both brands have a notoriously 'Scandinavian' cut (e.g, long in the body and arms).

It is definitely thicker, however it feels very similar when you've got it on thanks to the articulation.
Hey, great reviews. Was wondering if you’ve tried the Lundhags Habe Pile jacket and, if so, how does it compare to the Greenland winter jacket? Cheers
Afraid we haven't! We don't stock Lundhags anymore unfortunately. Kind regards, Harry.

@@tohuka_dtx Thanks or the reply mate, it was helpful. I just ordered the L size. Should be a great jacket for the Berlin winter. Have a great week.
How does its material compare to G-1000 that Fjallraven uses and is my favorite but I am intrigued by Lundhags products.?
