The Best Back Yard Compost EVER! Check out how I make compost in my backyard using compost tumblers. Now I'm trying to include 75% browns, carbon and 25% greens, nitrogen in my compost so it cooks hot and fast! Then, I add the compost from the compost tumblers you see in this video to my raised bed gardens at the end of each vegetable growing season! Enjoy!

The tumbler on the left should have the vent holes in the side opposite the door like your other one. It will help to promote airflow. All the best.

Wow, I hadn't seen those composters before, I wouldn't have thought that would be enough airflow, but it must be if you're expecting compost in six weeks.

Do you use anything to sift the ready compost out from the bigger pieces that arent quite broken down enough?? We use a waste basket from the dollar tree store thats made of a metal mesh and then sprinkle itover the plants....; )

Hey Jake I know this comment doesn't relate to this video but I was wondering if u have any disarming videos. I mean yr videos on how to use weapons is great and amazing but I would also like to learn how to disarm a person using weapons. Thx

you need 2 to 1 ratio of nitrogen and carbon for great smelling compost in just two weeks. I've been using them for decades.

why they say u need to layer piles to cook and heat the pile up where you use a tumbler and its not layering but just a scrambled up process and you still get heat???

    • @bobbrawley2612

Good question . The layering is for a static pile . So heating happens throughout the pile. Tumbling allows bacteria digestion ( heating ) throughout the load

Too Tall and heavy. Get them down to your eye level. At least you'll get a work out.
