At that point, 2pac's movie career was set to take off. He was actually a great actor that was trained at an art school in Baltimore. I feel like if he was never killed, his music career would have taken a back seat and he would've become one of the top paid actors in Hollywood by the mid-2000's. I also feel like Lucas wrote that role for him, and he watched Juice, Poet Justice and Above the Rim. Because some of the elements of the character, like him using his anger for good and finding a way to channel the Darkside in search of peace without falling to it are analogous to Pac's real life.
