29:34 girls actually used to rogue their knees back in the day, to obviously draw attention to their knees, some would even draw things like faces on them, the more you know :)
Me, seeing my cat sit on the windowsill: Oh dang, just like Stephen Schwartz said. I'm loving these recaps and I can't wait to follow along with the rest of the season!
Yes, Busting Out is an homage to You Could Drive a Persons Crazy. But people seem to forget that that number was an homage to Sing for Your Supper from 1938's The Boys from Syracuse by Rodger's and Hart.
33:51 the artist on the record is Mayor’s Menlove’s choir and the chocolate’s Elsie had are Danny Bailey’s chocolates, it is kind of like an insight on what the characters did after the events of Schmigadoon
I’m so glad that this show is getting more and more popular. I remember you and ghostlight we’re the only ones to comment years back, but now so many more have popped up! And now You talk to Ann! Holy cow, simply amazing!
Around the 40 min mark Ann says she’s got a song with Jaime in ep 5 from a composer they haven’t touched yet. Calling it: Madame Frau and Sgt Rivera doing some sort of “don’t dream it, be it” moment with a Sweet Transvestite/Time Warp thing at the Klubb. Composer: Richard O’Brian, Rocky Horror
ZOMG I adore Anne Harada! And she's a fan of yours!!! There aren't enough exclamation points!!! I remember seeing her in Avenue Q back in the day. She nailed the Madeleine Kahn accent in this series.
THANK YOU! Not one review mentioned Hot Honey Rag intro, that was literally in the trailer! I felt like maybe I was wrong or something but then episode 2 played more of it during Bustin'. Out so I felt vindicated after hearing your review! I still think Kratt is the Judge mixed with something else. I know it's the wrong era but I am not giving up hope on the Big Bad Wolf because they did play "Into the Woods" when Josh and Melissa were in the woods in episode 1. But if I'm wrong, meh that's life. Love your videos!

One funny thing I haven’t seen anyone mention is under adult Leisl’s monologue, the underscoring is doing a jazz waltz version of ‘Eidelweiss’

I take back what I said about episode one making an episode recap longer than the episode itself with one of the cast as a guest is iconic behaviour
Hahaha!! Why do I do this to myself? ;) Ann was worth it, though!
So worth the slight delay! Ann is a doll and I’m so happy she was able to do this. ❤❤❤

The amount of times I find myself singing "schmi-caaaa-GOOOOOOOOOO" is really ridiculous
Watching from between episode 5 and 6 I am already SO EXCITED for season 3, it better happen. This show is so fan.tas.tic.
"Theater nerds have to stick together" ANN HARADA I LOVE YOU ❤
Love Ann, she was a delight to work with!!

Right? I became a ghost in that moment cuz I am DEAD. I've been such a fan of hers for 20 years and I couldn't be more thrilled and charmed by her!
Loved this. Great interview! I'll definitely subscribe!!

Love your videos!
Shouldn’t it be fünf, sechs, sieben, acht?
The name "Topher" is a reference to Christopher Ruppert Windemere Vladamir from Rodger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella .
Cinderella is definitely in the Schmigadoon! era, though, rather than Schmicago, but sure why not lol
@@StealingFocus Okay.
VonShtupp-ticaded! I feel seen!
Season 3; SCHMANETEVKA
I think it's more like Berger from Hair rather than Claude.
Maybe? Berger is hornier lol but there’s a lot of season left to go!
@@StealingFocus there’s a line in the trailer where he says “let’s get naked 😭”
I can't focus on the video because the hosts are too beautiful for words.
Oh you! ❤️
I related SO HARD to Melissa during her audition 😅😢
(and congrats on booking Ann Harada pour your recap)
spiders eat their young :D
So freakin' funny
Stephen Schwartz would never!
Maybe I’m out of left field here, but I think the narrator killed Elsie. Am I the only one who thinks that’s where this is going?
30???
