The neocolors II used to come in 120 colors! They released the complete set before discontinuing 36 colors. It's one of my prized possessions...I just can't gather the courage to actually use them.
Just wanted to say I got your "creative lens" ebook with the classes and I'm in love how easy and inspiring has been to actually start painting and not get discouraged bc it doesn't look perfect. I will be getting more of your classes and projects .
Brilliant video! Please could you do a video on your acrylic set up, ie how you mix the paint with medium and water and the ratios please, I love this idea and feel it would work well for me! Thank you in anticipation!
I got a set of the A Gallo watercolour pan set last Christmas and I have loved it this year. Really rich colours and a great set of colours for a curated set
Happy Holidays! Thank you for sharing your favorites! I would love to see more mixed media with your new oil pastels, I am considering adding them to my supply. My favorite is my M Graham watercolors, they just burst onto the paper.
Hello I bought Flash acrylics 1 month ago so… i would be very interesting with tips & everything dealing with them! Thanks for the quality of your Channel, whatever the subject is!🌲💫🦄
Thank you for watching and commenting! No tips, just enjoy :) Love Flashe paints! The one thing I have been doing is adding to these little pots some matte medium mixed with water to get a slightly more fluid consistency. Other than that there's nothing I can say, except enjoy and don't forget to try sketching on top of them with pencils and pastels, they are perfect for that!
I absolutely love watching your videos! By the way, I wanted to share a tip about paper palettes-parchment paper, freezer paper, and wax paper are all great alternatives! They’re much more affordable, and you can cut them to the size you need. Plus, they work just as well. I have a little theory that some brands are basically the same products, just in different packaging😊
Hullo Irit, I have the same water bucket from Mijello! and I did buy the ready made cloths for the bucket, but only once! I find that I use the blue mechanic's paper towels folded up and they fit and are great! I do not know if you have access to Blick's Art supply stores in person or online? Their Blick Artists' Acrylic comes in 2oz(59ml) to 16oz(473ml) jars! I love the 16 oz jars they screw off and on and are great! I am also a fan of the Lukas CRYL bottles I like that fact that I do not use them a lot, but I have yet to have any dry up! I paint mostly watercolors but I occasionally get the acrylic bug or get asked to make an acrylic painting and the Lukas and Blick house brand are just the best without breaking the bank! If you have plenty of money Golden's So-Flat paints are some of the best acrylic paints keeping the surface flat and workable too! As for portable markers? I love the Faber Castell Pitt Artist Dual Markers. The pigmented inks have good to excellent lightfast ratings and the ultra fine tip opposite the firm brush tip allow for many different line weights! They look very similar to the Albrecht Durer watercolor markers but are so much better! I have purchased quite a few sheets of the Shizen papers from Blicks, but it is available a lot of other places too! It is marketed as a pastel paper and I find it works great for acrylics, watercolors, gouache as well as pastels! I find it heavy enough that I do not need to give it extra preparation before I start painting! Thanks for showing us your favorites. I look forward to more of your videos in the new year! Be well and stay safe out there!
Hi! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience! I don't have access to Blick sadly. I do use Lukas often, they are very accessible where I am and very affordable as well. I've heard good things about the dual pitt markers, I've only ever had the one tip, mostly the big brush pens and they are really not travel friendly but I agree the quality is great! Stay safe and a happy new year to you too!
As I've said, I've heard many people had many issues, I never had any and they are my favorite for years! I would buy them from a place I knew I could return it if they were defective.
It's the tin that Distress Watercolor pencils come in (can't say I recommend buying just for the tin unless that money is burning a hole in your pockt ;) )
💝Box of acrylics, mine is small & holds some inks: created in 2024. Followed you to dual markers by Faber Castel this year 💚Besides watercolor the Neo Pastels II & added some Neo I in 2024. If some evil dictator would rule that I could only have one supply I would pick: Caran D’ache Neo color II🌟😇 Coloring pencils am a Prisma color fan for color, few Holbein, 2024 Derwent Drawing. First set I purchased years ago, still go to consistently Inktense P. Was gifted one of the multi color pencils 🐾 Happy creating & well wishes for 2025💕🎨
Hi what a lovely video. I haven’t given prismacolors a big run.. just a question, how do you dispose of your dirty water? It’s what’s most concerning me at the moment, I don’t use acrylics but use loads of heavy metals on my watercolours…
I wish I had a good solution... I try to wipe most of the paint away before washing the brush and I try to use hues when possible. If this is a real concern for you, I know there are artists that have a big container outside where they dispose of their water and the water evaporates eventually and the rest of the dirt just sinks to the bottom of this container.
Hi Irit, thanks again for this new video. I was looking for the Faber Castell but could not find the ones you use. Do you have a link for purchasing them? Lots of love and Merry Christmas!
Do the mungyo oil pastels have a smell? I happen to have the pentel oil pastels and I can't stand them do to the smell it has. Do you use yours in your sketchbook? Do they transfer alot from one page to the one next to it? 😮 I generally don't like messy mediums , but I admit you've got me curious
Caran dache is better for layering and probably light-fast ratings. If those two things are not relevant to you (I, for example, rarely if ever layer my pencil work), I would say Prisma are a great choice, the colors are great and they are cheaper.
I've been eyeballin those wax pastels on Blick's website for a while now. I've never used pastels before, do you need to spray anything on the wax pastels to seal them?
Hi Josie! You mean the neocolors? No need to seal as they stay put. I varnish acrylic paintings as usual when I use them. With watercolors or gouache I recommend framing behind glass so again, no need to seal. And for sketchbooks they are perfect, they don't smudge or make a mess like other pastels. Hope that helps!
Brilliant video! Please could you do a video on your acrylic set up, ie how you mix the paint with medium and water and the ratios please, I love this idea and feel it would work well for me! Thank you in anticipation!
Yes! Paint- most of what I use is heavy body-ish so naturally the more fluid your paint is the less (or no) additives needed. I add liquid matte medium (I like matte finish, if you like satin or gloss adjust accordingly) mixed with water, about 1:1 medium to water. I add a bit to the paint, mix and then add more until I get the consistency I like which is somewhere between greek yogurt and heavy cream. I would play and test to see your favourite mix but in general it's recommended not to use a lot of water as that can interfere with paint adherence. Hope that helps!
Not gonna be shy here....YES, your fave colors in ALL THE MEDIUMS. 😉😘
Haha yup, all important!!

Normally I would say use them! But in this case maybe not 🤔😂
Wonderful video Irit! Colours like eye candy :D And I loved the peak into your abstract landscape sketchbook! x

Wow! Art supplies are WAY cheaper in Europe than they are in Canada, apparently!
Generally Brands made in your country, are likely to be cheaper. But nothing is cheap in Australia.
The European brands for sure Tanya, but probably not the US made ones though...
Hi Irit, thanks again for this new video.
I was looking for the Faber Castell but could not find the ones you use. Do you have a link for purchasing them?
Lots of love and Merry Christmas!
To you too Rina! That's them- amzn.to/49Vv7W6 hope that helps!!
@@iritlandgraf thanks so much!
Yours looked more blue so I thought that these were the wrong ones 😀
My pleasure, hope you like them!

Haha I cannot deny they are messy but definitely not as messy as other soft oil pastels. I don't think they smell but I admit I'm not very sensitive 😬
Is prismacolor better than Caran d’Ache?
Thank you!
I subscribed ❤

Noted! But it's really a little bit of this and little bit of that till you get the right consistency you enjoy painting with
@@iritlandgrafthank you! If you could say what the different “this” and “that” are, I can experiment! Is it paint, water and medium? Many thanks x
