I wonder why they didn't use the extended version of the cartoon for this. All the bits John K refers to apparently were shot and available for restoration, because when they brought him to the Alamo Cinema to host a big "festival" of stuff he'd done, he showed "Benefit Plan" with the extra scenes. Admittedly, I actually didn't see it myself -- he did four shows, each with slightly different choices of material, and I only managed to make it to the two with the selections that I was most interested in -- but the flyer was very detailed as to what rare and unseen treasures were set to be run at each of the screenings.
I think in another interview, someone explained it's parodying the product placement for cheerios in the '80s Chipmunks movie, and they just pushed it to an extreme. One of those jokes where they just went "why not, it'll look funny" so there wasn't much of a story behind it.
I wonder how a little kid makes sense of this... I'm sure I watched this as a child and I was amazed by all the colors and the pictures but didn't understand the story. I can barely understand it as an adult. It's weird.

I'll be darned, Tom Minton actually managed to get a word in edge-wise at the end!
Found you!
All this backstory and no explanation as to why the dude has cheerios on his tongue all the time.

It's not all john but John's influence is all over the cartoon
He can't because he's retired!
@@DennisTamayo No one wants to hire John K because he's a pedophile
@@DennisTamayo Is that what they call it?
@@KenLieck John K's career was ruined because of Ren & Stimpy's Adult Party Cartoon & Cans Without Labels.
Wow. Interesting story on Hungarian import artist, István Majoros. #IstvánMajoros

I recall being grossed out by Sandy Bottomfeeder having the Cheerio on his tongue whenever he talked.
Are those Cheerios in Sandy's mouth?
Yes. This was what grossed me out of eating Cheerios for a while after I saw it almost 40 years ago.
3:13 LMAO
I wonder if there is more commentaries
On RUclips, you mean? I just watched two others before this one...
Is there anymore Mighty Mouse commentaries?
