It's because every content type has its own settings, you have to adjust settings for every content type independently. There are 3 major content types : 1-SDR 2-HDR 3-Dolby Vision
for clarity, Dolby vision will automatically trigger the DV mode, within there is DV bright, dark and IQ. Whereas for SDR, HDR, you are free to choose whichever mode you want.
New QM751g mini led set. It is a great tv but it has the motion smoothing judder Dolby vision problem. But on my set the menu settings don’t give me access to toggle Dolby vision on or off! Does anyone know what to do with this set to solve this problem? it is ruining tv experience.
@@Jamesbond-jh2lj I DID! The trick was what was described in the video. Dolby Vision is its own unique animal, at least on these TCL Google Tv's. The fix is SIMPLE. I went into an App that has Dolby Vision content, I noticed that Netflix and Disney+ both have a lot of it. Picked a movie in Dolby Vision and started playing it. WHILE IT WAS PLAYING, I went into the settings and discovered that while Dolby Vision is playing you can access the special Dolby Vision settings, including motion settings. Turned off motion smoothing there and it immediately stopped and remained off when watching other Dolby Vision content in that and other apps.
Alright so I have one and have been messing around with the settings. To me, the better option is to leave the smoothing on, but turn down the intensity. Turn both settings right under the motion setting down to 5. Trust me.
Bought a TCL 43T7B, and when playing content from youtube or flash drive, there is stutter in some moments whatever settings I use.. the only thing that seems to help is just to play everything from PC through HDMI.
How did you find those Dolby options? In the beginning, it was showing the regular options like Low Power Mode but then all of a sudden it’s giving you those options for Dolby Vision? I can’t find that on mine.
Thank you for this fr but ive also been experiencing a different problem with this tv & its called color banding i see it alot on sky seens or blue screens you know anything about that by any chance?
@@nylnoble1836 you totally can. Go into the settings while playing Dolby vision content and pick either Dolby vision bright or Dolby vision dark. You can change the motion in both of these.
Why in the... rather, how in the fuck do you have blur and judder set to 10 without getting the feeling of motion sickness?! How have you not noticed some picture settings have more motion smoothing than others? If you want to set your tv to filmmode or cinematic etc you need to address each of their settings individually. Changing motion blur or judder on one generally wont affect another and you need to adjust each separately or turn it completely off. I recommend turning motion smoothing blur/judder off or keeping the values relatively low if you do choose to use it, for the best results. The soap opera effect sucks ass.
I fixed the motion smoothing/clarity/stutter/jutter issue with the TCL Q7. Here's a link of a youtube video I made on how to fix it: ruclips.net/video/H6L8JjO2XqE/видео.html. But long story short, on the TCL Q7 homescreen, go to settings -> picture -> advanced settings -> motion -> turn off motion clarity. Then, when you switch to watch a movie and the tv automatically turns on Dolby Vision IQ, make sure you switch it to either Dolby Vision Bright or Dolby Vision Dark (whichever is your preference). For some reason, Dolby Vision IQ does not let you turn off motion clarity since the option doesn't even show up in advanced settings. After you switch to Dolby Vision Bright or Dolby Vision Dark, go to settings -> display & sound -> picture -> advanced settings -> motion -> turn off motion clarity. After that, you should no longer have motion stuttering or freezing or jutter anymore. It should look normal. Hope this helps!
You are lifesaver... i almost returned my new TV
i was about to too, but I'm super smart
😂😂@@apostlemikasobe
My lord you’re a hero! I also thought I was gonna have to return my new TV till your video!

I got a Hisense i got this issue wit games but like cant find the settings for Dolby
What is your Dolby vision settings ? For Dolby vision bright & for clarity you keep 100 on sharpness ?
There are no words I got for you that can explain my gratitude
For Hisense U8N owners I fixed it by sticking with Dolby Vision Dark

@@Aarongoldner worked for me thank you for the reply
My man u are a life saver
Also enabling higher refresh rate makes it more good
If you could find a fix for the vertical banding on this set you'd be a life saver

Going to try this for non Dolby viewing. Sports seem wonky with it on too.
What is clear led motion??

Need to play dolby content first for the options to show up.
I just got a tcl C841K uk model number I believe its the C845 and while playing games with 120hz/vrr i get really bad ghosting and flickering.
I don't got the motion setting
Thank you!!! This was driving me nuts and I only had it 10 minutes!
you're welcome 🤗
So my Q7 has more judder with motion off than on. Having Dynamic Acceleration on with Clear motion has seemed to fix the issue on my set
Use Dolby vision dark which is calibrated correctly for Dolby stuff
This comment saved my life. Got the Panasonic db820 and could not for the life of me figure out the weird jutter with my TCL.
You saved me as well bro, this was really annoying !!! Thank you !!!
Exactly what I was looking for - thank you!

I bought new tcl. But without dolby vision and I'm facing the picture motion it's obvious. How can I stop this lag
Did you fix it, I’m having some micro stutter/judder to in some moments
Same bro I bought a tcl 43P635 model no dolby vision
Can someone explain there the setting is for 120hz?
You have to make sure your tv is capable of 120 frames per second. If not, it’s most likely only 60
@ I have the Q6 55 inch which advertises 4k @60 and 1080 @120hz. I just can't find the menu option for resolution and frame rates.
Hi my tcl 55 p635 google tv doesnt have motion settings? Do ineed to update firmwarr or this settting applicable only on selected tv even same brand
Because your tv does not support Dolby vision
But now my tv is no longer 120Hz.. this causes the refresh rate to drop giving a 60hz similar motion 😢😮
my TV is TLC and its dont have a Motion selection in Advandance Settings.. can you help me with that?
Only the “Dolby vision dark” setting will have the option for motion as that’s the setting intended for viewing movies by TCL
@@calebmartinstacy5979 So theres NO way to get my TV TLC that kind of Smooth Motion When i play Movies??

Almost going to return it for Xiaomi, I was thinking what's wrong with this QLed
I think some tvs are worse than others my 55 u8h is set to 8 on motion judder
Advanced setting is not there for me
It was under clarity
why does my tcl qm7 not have the dolby setting plz someone help!!!
dolby vision settings appear when you play dolby vision content

Do people really like dolby? In not a fan
it gives a nice warm color tint to movies and tv shows. I enjoy it
🤷♂
It depends also on your tv quality, dolby is great on some tvs
Wait do I need to do this every time?
no, just once
Fantastic, thanks for the help
thank GOD
Bro I don’t see the issue and I have q750 tcl 65
Was thinking the same thing and I have a brand new q7 lmao
Really thank you much 👏👏👏👏
Awesome 👍

Thank you !
Thank you..
IT'S MISSING, THE MOTION CATEGORY IS JUST FUCKING MISSING. WHY???
If your tv doesn’t have the ability to play 120 frames per second, that may be why. You most likely have a tv that does only 60 frames.
Iba a devolver mi tv, gracias
Thanks
