I understand not having these Pokémon on a perfect scale compared to the rest. Buildings aren't on a perfect scale either. But... SOME kind of size difference could've been implemented, they could've at least looked taller than the humans.
I think they would've taken up too much of the screen. But given bdsp's art style, creating chibi versions of large pokemons was probably the correct move. But they somehow butchered doing that with gyrados.
@@lirfrank That's true however the art style is quite different. They definitely should've done it better but this is ILCA's first pokemon game so I'm alright with cutting them some slack.

And certain size pokemon being banned from the contests with a funny little voiceline from the officials like "I am sorry but we had some....problems with wailord/Groudon etc. before. Sadly it can't be registered" wouldn't hurt either as nearly noone uses that anyway. There THEN could even be a little quest to get all pokemon to register, including +++sized ones. But oh well.

The small and dinky Pokemon actually doesn't look *too* bad since the character is chibi. It's very noticeable in SwSh that Wailord isn't actual size, while the shrink in BDSP looks more like an attempt at HG/SS but 3D. Although, this problem could be fixed by making bigger Pokemon rideable. You can still see your character and the Pokemon can remain big-ish. Let's Go! pulled it off, but then it was also a game with weird human models.

@@ThePmso no, it really doesn’t.
