Even going as far as letting him use the power of the emeralds to achieve his own super form, only for it to amount to nothing. What little strength he still had could not match his former victims collective desire for revenge. Power he once held, taken by those he had wronged. Instead of causing them to suffer, he would learn himself what the pain of suffering really felt like, and oh so much more.
So here's my take on this: This takes place in an alternate Sonic.exe universe/timeline. Sonic.exe's victims find a source of power (whether it be the Chaos Emeralds or something else) and take the power for themselves before Sonic.exe can find it. This power turns them into demonic entities much more stronger than Sonic.exe. Using said power, they attack Sonic.exe can capture him with the intention to torture him the same way he did to them, but way worse. They transform him into just a simple clone of Sonic, with no demonic powers whatsoever to save himself. Eggman experiments on him just to see how much pain he can cause, Knuckles forces him to run away from him in an endless field without his legs, and...I don't know what Tails did to him. Burn him in fire? Twist him? I think... To clarify, this isn't the original Sonic. Sonic.exe was turned into a powerless clone, now tortured by his ex-captors as a way of revenge, seemingly with no end in sight. Boyfriend ends up in this universe through his exploration through FNF mods and discovers this alternate universe. He now has to rap battle the ex-demon Sonic.exe in various processes of torture and the new demons themselves to escape, after which a red ring portal will appear and take him out of this universe. He can't save this version of Sonic.exe. He can't reason with them. GF isn't here to help him. His current objective is to survive.

Knuckles is slightly out of tune but great job!!! Also it looks like the third clone tried to fight back using the chaos emeralds and failed very badly due to the yellow quils.
Could we have a version with a little less echo? No offense but the reverb is a little wonky on the other parts, but it does fit the Metal Sonic fused with Sonic segment in the first half
