The 1963 Ramblers were great cars .. my best friend inherited his grandfathers 63 when we were in high school in 1974 While all the early 70’s cars were rusting out .. that 63 didn’t have a spec of rust .. and it was 11 years old !!!
@@donaldperrotta8514 I just bought a 63 Rambler classic 660 in January, very little light surface rust under the hood but other than that pretty much perfect!
A very unique setup, for sure. That would be a lot of work to go to fitting it with that engine due to the way Mopar engines mount versus other kinds but he did it well. I think if I were going to go to that effort, I'd drop an 8 into it but, to each, his own.
Grill isn’t back to original, and it isn’t chrome. Original grills are stainless and back black behind the “RAMBLER” lettering. Slant 6 is cool, but 100% wrong. The 550 would have not had power brakes, too. The brakes would have been 4 wheel drums, too. There’s a lot that isn’t quite right about this car. It’s a nice runner, but not really much AMC left.
Don't see these very often - especially one this clean.

Cool looking rambler 😊😊
Does NOT come with a “Slant 6” sir. They had the iron, or aluminum 192 I6 engines.

I paid $35 for my first AMC car. The transmission kept locking up because of bent linkage. before selling it I had put 3 transmissions in it!
Nice Vehicle 😊
Originally it would have come with the AMC 258 6? Interesting set up for sure!
Looks like V8 markings on both side fenders.
Think these were only sold with a 238 or a 258 six .@@ACF6180T
Nope. 195.6 cu in. 258 didn't come along until much later.

The original location of the ignition switch is the dashboard.
The gauge cluster is an abomination, and the entire steering wheel and column, including the shift lever are not from even close to1963.....
A COUSIN OF OUR’S HAD A CHAMPAGNE COLORED 4- DOOR 1963 660 SEDAN AND IT RAN NOTHING COMPARED TO THIS PEEL THE TIRE SOUNDING SLEEPER !!!!
Cool looking rambler 😊😊
