I did a DNA and found out I was adopted. I was 63 and was so happy to find I had a family. I was an only child, only to find out I had 9 brothers and sisters.
I am also an only child (61) and I did a DNA test last year. I did not find any unknown siblings, but I did find out that I'm 15% Jewish which was really not expected. My mother's side was very clear, but there were A LOT of surprises from my father's side.
I watched this on Netflix, and it had me so touched, so angry, and yet so inspirational. I really think the world of his mama & him. Their journey is heartfelt.
What a shock to this woman's psyche to learn she was abducted, but also a relief to know she was NOT related to the psychopath who not only tortured and murdered people, but also traumatized an infant and an entire FAMILY by kidnapping their baby. I realize this woman must be relieved to shed whatever shame she felt (which wasn't hers to carry in the first place), but still...to lose an entire childhood and lifetime??? Whoa...
Tyler Henry and his Mother should consider making a documentary about his Mother being stolen from her biological Mother. Unbelievable story, and that she never knew this fact until she took a DNA test. Obviously there is more to this story. Didn't her biological family try to find her? Did they know who took her? Were the police involved? Who had her birth certificate? How could she attend a school without one? A lot to unravel.
My aunts husband was “adopted” at age 2 by a Russian woman and told that his parents had died in a car accident. She always said his information was In A safe deposit box that he’d get when she died. It was empty . He found out his real last name when he was drafted into the army- he had been using his middle name as a last name because he thought that was his last name. The woman’s sister was a nurse in a hospital that had rumors of babies “dying” disappearing and evidently being sold and we assume he was one of them. He died before dna/ancestry was common. I wish we could have found out for him
@@susieries3947 Did he have children? They could take the Ancestry test and find his relatives. If he had a son, there is a test just for the father's line of ancestors. That would solve the entire story - The hospital he was born in and if there has been cases of known stealing of babies. That type of crime did happen in hospitals and there have been famous cases, where doctors and nurses were involved.
@@susieries3947 That is unfortunate. I don't understand why they wouldn't want to find the truth. Also, as a tribute to his memory they should find out if he was stolen, and his biological family should know he survived. These stories exist and are so sad.

On Netflix Tyler's mother said when Stella was in jail that received a phone call from someone telling her that Stella was not her biological mother and how stella wanted her to know.

I love you two together!!! I totally get why its hard to read your parent of origin, your connection is primal and visceral , the longest relationship of your life, your base for all future communication, you don;t have to think about how to conjugate verbs and it was developed from the heart…. From what I think I learned today about Tylers brain scan is that that experience is literally manifesting thru the brain (which may be why you sweat so much). Its like your communication with your mom is your primary love language you don’t have to think about and the communication with souls are a second language for both you and the soul you are reading, there are limitations on how to communicate. Its just my theory from watching the brain scan today, I’ll probably put a twist on it tomorrow! Ha ha!Of course I don’t really know at all. Thanks Teresa and Tyler and Tamran!
Tyler you and your mother should maybe hook up with either Henry Louis Gates from Finding Your Roots or Who Do You Think You Are. Both shows has a robust team of researchers that should be able to get to the bottom of this issue
My brother was stolen as a baby by family.. And the story is so confusing. Also the same lady that had my brother also stoled my father.. And we all carry the ladies husband last name. Ppl have passed and we will never know
One of our adopted sons had an Ancestral test done. He thought he was definitely Irish because he had a tint of red in his beard. When the results came back, he was only 4 per cent Irish!😂
When he said people were following an invisible God mad me question him. That's what being a Christian is about is having blind faith but for salvation.
I didn't see the show that he said this on to get the context of it,, so I'm going off of your comment. By "following an invisible God", did he mean that God does not exist? Or did he mean that God does exist but since we can't see him, people put their faith into an unseen entity?
the killer stole her mother through pretending she was legally taking custody of her as the mother was unmarried. She allowed her to see her when she was headed back out of the state. You can check through the killers financial history where she was working and how she attached to your mom. Your mom thought she was an adoption 'officer'
How else would the muffaletta originate in New Orleans? ;) My spouse is from LA. She found an Ancestry surprise...her grandmother is half Italian (thought only French/Acadian). Newfound relatives are Sicilian. Grandma was born and grew up in...New Orleans.
No. The woman who stole her (Stella) had children that were biracial. Tyler's Mother, Theresa did not know this woman named Stella was not her Mother. Therefore, she thought Stella's children were her half siblings, when in fact she was not related to them, because Stella had stolen Theresa. Now she has found her true siblings from her biological Mother and found the truth that she was stolen from her family. I hope that is clear. It is a complicated story.
@@dina113east So the people she's hugging on the pictures are the half black siblings she grew up with and not the biological ones, right? It made it seem like she was hugging her newly found black siblings from New Orleans.
@@moonsyoungestsun6550 That's right. She was stolen by Stella, who was the mother of the biracial children. So, she thought that Stella's children were her half-siblings when in fact they were not related at all. Of course they did. Italians are in every state of the US. There are Italian populations in Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee and to name a few. They went there for jobs. I have met Italians from Colorado, Iowa and many other states. The Northeastern states Connecticut, NY, NJ, Massachusetts, Rhode Island have a large Italian population. Not one fact that you stated is correct. Just because you do not have family in the South doesn't mean Italians didn't immigrate to the South.
