Chamo made a lot of money... I mean, he get's 50k yen for each pactio, which is about 500 dollars, and Negi enters about 30 pactios since he's in a pactio with the entire class, that's about 15k dollars...

The manga starts off as a typical Harem manga, because the publishers wanted Akamatsu to make something like Love Hina. He began to shift the manga into something more of a Shonen type, though it still kept it's comedy-harem antics from time to time. I'd recommend reading all of the manga if you haven't already :D
the kiss did create a contract with Negi. SHe actually made the contract in both season 1 and 2, the season 1 was to gain more power to fight off the demon army (note it was a new moon then), season 2 was to rid the star crystal's power over her, it was the only way to eliminate its control and in doing so created a probationary contract. Watch the actual show and you'll see.
Why was negima?! animated and not the actual series T_T??? If the actual series had gone past chapter 50 it would be an amazing series
in season 1 she clearly does need the extra power because it was a new moon so she doesn't have enough power to fight like she wants to, that is where the contract helped out.
They should have added way more episodes to Negima! Or made a season 2

@rachaelbear6 In episode 12 of the re-animated series , Negima!?. Negi was cursed as the students all knew about the magic. So the storyline of the cursed castle holds on in episode 12-14 as the (left) students have a mass pactio. Negi came back normal

Exactly Evangeline and Chachamaru entered into probationary contracts with Negi as well later on after the class took down Evangeline who was under control of Anya and the star crystal

well theres one thing, by the end of the series Negi was probably a very good kisser, heaven knows he got enough practice! haha
I'm glad I watched this video, pactios are ridiculous, but it saves me from watching this series.

That's cause Nodoka and Negi didn't even let each other go right away and had to be told the contract was complete first.

@jprecto8732 For now in the manga , no. The Animated series are here to show the quick storyline so they've select some of them to show the individual Provisional Pactio before the Mass one. And I hope that , the story writer , (I didn't remember his name) would continue the storyline of the manga until the right time then show the pactio of the Twins later on.

@CATZEN Actually, as of the manga, Chachamaru has a pactio with Negi since he arbitrarely made the magic rules that define the pactio system recognise that Chachamaru has a soul, as such she is able to perform a pactio, at least that's with Negi.

Eva never made a contract with neji. neither in the manga or anime series. She was already way more powerful than neji & she never needed it. She kissed him yes, but it wasnt to make a contract. Was just a kiss

when i was replying i was talking about the anime i never said i was going against the manga but if you read your comment you said she never made a pactio in the anime. I was just pointing out the facts in the case of the anime, whether it is different in the manga or not is another matter, but i am speaking specifically for the anime.
Well, there's a couple of new ones that the anime hasn't covered, the individual pactio scenes for Kaede, Chachamaru (That was a rather interesting one), Asakura (although that was only a picture of it) Ku Fei, Theo (a princess in the manga storyline who Negi becomes the Ministra for rather than being the mage), Natsumi (with Kotarou), Chisame, Haruna (was that a pactio or rape?) and the mass pactio's later on.

I hated that they changed Misora's hair, but whatever. I love Negima. I have all the volumes up to this point and just keep collecting. Nice vid! :)

*spoiler alert* Ayaka does kiss Negi in the manga. Then Chizuru then Akira. But in both animes, Negi kisses Natsumi but in the manga Kotaru is supposed to kiss her

You're not the only one who noticed that. It was probably the way Negi had his hands on Nodoka's hips and how Nodoka had her hands on Negi's shoulders. It's actually weird because Negi's 10 yrs old, he only ends up intimate with a lady when he's in his sleep.
And since that was Nodaoka's first kiss in "that" anime, it's weird how she didn't just lean toward for a small peck, considering how shy she is.
