Even though I am a tigers fan, a true legend of the game is going to be missed massively both in the prem and on the international scene. Best of luck, Joe. Enjoy your retirement retirement
Like you, I'm a Tigers fan, but I've always had massive respect for Joe. As a player, he was fearsome, reliable, dependable, outrageously funny, and never, ever, boring. Enjoy your retirement with your family, Joe. You will be sorely missed. The rugby world will never see another of your calibre, and will be less entertaining now you're gone. Be safe, and I'm sure we haven't heard the last of you. 😅
As a Sarries fan I was always happy to say that Joe was my favourite player in the Prem, never a dull moment and making him Quins Captain in 2014 was inspired. Rugby is now a duller game without him. Thanks, Good luck and best wishes Joe.
We are often sad at the departure of quality players, but so few of them have the personality to go with it. Joe is exceptionally rare in that aspect. He has helped bring rugby players more mainstream in recent years on tv and with his podcasts, and is one of the true characters of all world sport. A real loss to the game. Go well, Joe.
I hope he 1) Gets into punditry and 2) Sticks around the England coaching side to help new props come up into the international game. Someone as experienced as him could offer soo much to the next wave of English scrumming talent.
Leicester Fan. Loved the world cup banter he had with Cole. I hope he finds his happiness. For he has given me many moments too enjoy. He was also rather good at rugby as well.
Joe marler I have loved every minute of watching you from truly brutal scrums to tickling Welshman's balls, you entertained. Thank you. So sad to see you go. Rugby will miss you.
My lad before moving to back row, modelled himself on Joe's sh*****ery, the coversations he has had on the pitch are brilliant. Joe''s "Come on, yo're f******g boring me" is a classic alongside his quip to Andrew Brace "Are you wearing those for a bet?". Awesome guy alongside showing his mental health struggles. He doesn't know how many people he has helped. Happy retirment, you'll be missed on the pitch, hopefully we'll see you on the TV and in person.
There are many great players about, and there are many showmen about, but there are very few who combine both like Joe. God, I'll miss him.
Him and Ugo.
What a man. You will be missed sir 👊🏻
An absolute legend. Joe always said it how he saw it. Bok fan but l absolutely loved Joe Marler

Thanks Joe, for being a fantastic player who always kept it all in perspective, one of the games entertainers.

Great player and character, people who qualify for this accolade are few and far between. Good luck in your next quest Joe. You will be missed 🥲

As a player he made the world of Rugby more fun. I’m looking forward to him as a commentator and pundit. Should be interesting.
From a Saints fan, he will be missed.
Good luck marler
😭😭😭
I guess we will be hearing all the time about his off field battle now. Hope not.
Heard he’s joining Channel 4 racing as a pundit 😂
"One Joe Marler, there's only one Joe Marler" Thanks for the memories Joe, we really will miss you.
