I thought that a piano with no release would sound choppy- and I was right, but man... it's so cool!!! the abruptness of the ending of each note interrupting the natural decay of the piano makes for such a cool sound, especially the really fast short loud bits. I imagine contrasting this style of sound with longer more "naturally" decaying sounds could make for a really neat texture (not to imply this isn't neat). The composition itself is also really good! the dissonance seems a little uncomfortable, but then the piano does some weird cool thing and it reframes the more dissonant bits in a way that makes it good in a "whoa" kinda way. My favorite part is the ........< bits yknow what I mean like the voted out bits those sound really cool big fan
it's like you constantly think you know what a piano sounds like, so there's a certain way you expect it to sound but then it does things that normal pianos just can't and it thoroughly denies those expectations, not in a random way but in a "oh! it's doing that instead" kind of way.

I love the stuttering, got me thinking of a fictional character who's all glitchy and stutters but has a real passion for piano music. When this character plays the piano, or some BGM about 'em, instruments would stutter or glitch n' such, leading to some cool remixes and compositions! 🎹🎵
The effect is certainly unique and very similar to something you'd hear in an anime intro or rhythm game song. I feel like a bit of very quiet reverb could make this stuttering sound pretty nice.
