Just Purchased my first PU base unit. So excited about it too.. I've been watching you for years and I'm happy I've made the investment.. I plan on using tape while using this unit. Thank you so much for the tutorials and information..I hope to start purchasing full units from you as I suffer from alopecia due to menopause.. It is really hard finding a supplier that I trust..Because I've watched your work and have watched you evolve using different techniques I'm happy to say I trust you and your products. So far I've done the Kinky curly tapered look using tracks, then with various toppers and now your PU unit..My challenge has always been creating the sides to create a natural look.. Thank you for the videos on how to create the look. I've also purchased from you your fibers and fiber applicator and bulk hair. I respect that lives are being changed with different hair options. Also $100 to $150 is fair for a unit that will only last a week in a half so if it takes 2hrs to do $50 per hour or $75 per hour depending or if the client wants parts etc. Also many beauty supply stores across the u.s sale wigs & weave to cater to women but not men wave units/toupee especially for African American Men. That's abit strange it's like you'll have to search online of find a barber/stylist who gets them. When it comes to african american men often have to jump through hoops.

As far as keeping it dry…swim cap.
There are swim caps out here to accommodate all lengths & thickness of hair. Use it in the shower/bath.
You’d figure there would be a market for these units though. You shouldn’t have to go on a hunt for them.
You might have to start your own line 🤔.

This was a great video. I do my own units on myself and I thought I was doing something wrong because they only lasted 3 weeks with the glue. It would start lifting but based off what you said, that's the amount of time it SHOULD last. Thank you for this video.

I have a 4C real hair Unit since New years Eve. I took mine off to clean my scalp because it got moisture in front of the unit & it was loose because didn't use glue but tape & started smelling. I had spot cleaned the area with wintergreen alcohol then tea tree oil. Later I took it off to washed the unit & gently detangle it then blow dry it. It's holding up nicely so far. Going back for my 3rd maintenance in couple of weeks. This time he used glue. So I feel it's more secure when I pick it out.
How much do you pay for touch up?

This information she is delivering has blown me away. I clicked on this video looking how to manage a perfect fro for kinky hair which l have and l am 50 years old. I been washing, moisturizing, and blow drying it for about 3 years now and mainly brush it back and throw on a cap. If l wear a fro it will not stay big and upright if its any type of humidity in the air it will draw up no matter what, and l got so frustrated having it perfect and step out for the day and it all draws up even with holding spray. I would like to get a lace front l can take on and off in a afro style to avoid dealing with my own hair when l want that perfect afro lift with certain outfits l wear.

Here is a summary of the different hair units mentioned in the video:
Fill-in unit: This is suitable for people who only have hair loss in specific areas, like the corners or the crown. It is made of synthetic hair and lasts about a week to a week and a half. It is glued on and shouldn’t be shampooed or styled with heat.
Two-four week hair unit: This unit is made of synthetic hair and uses bonding glue, so it lasts longer than a fill-in unit, two to four weeks. However, the bonding glue can have a not-so-pleasant odor and can irritate the scalp if it gets wet. Touch-ups are possible with this unit.
Three-to-four month unit: This unit is made of human hair and requires a supplier to find the hairpiece. It can be styled with heat and shampooed.
