Even if they criticize you for it, by getting things together in kits or bags etc. Bug out, Inch, day or 72 hours, its all important. ESPECIALLY inside a City like Indianapolis! Have a well executed plan. When it all goes sideways, they will go from criticizing you to worshipping you, and that alone is going to be difficult. Do these things you have the knowledge to do, but don't tell anyone you're doing them, what he isn't telling you is that even for himself, and most youtubers in general is that they have 68.2 THOUSAND + people that know he has this stuff. From someone who does a lot of ruck marches, one piece of advice I can give is consider moving your sleeping bags from the top of your ruck to the bottom of it, especially with that being a lightweight sleeping bag. You want to have the lightest weight items as low as possible and the heaviest items as high as possible and as close to your back as possible. I keep at least half of the entire rucks weight either between my shoulder blades or above that point. Doing that helps distribute the weight properly across your frame and allows you to shift the weight forward over your hips by simply leaning forward when going uphills. After a few miles you will be able to feel the difference.

Hi, you have more faith in the ZIPPS in your pack then I have ever had working in the conditions of high hot fine sand, high humidity and no access to replacement services. What the Brits call On her Majesties Service! The reason that the Old Sweats keep on using the old bag back packs is that they don’t trust zippers and velcro. Have you ever been in a sleeping bag and woken up in a hurry and the zipper was stuck? Never again, in my panic I ripped the sleeping bag apart and destroyed it. Buckles, toggles and loops and para cord we trust! Metal or plastic zippers, never. Cheers mate. Harera

Thats a video i have never seen, and from my own prepping, it seems almost impossible.
From the amount of calories needed to hygiene, to clothing, to sleep systems, to water, to medical, i dont think it can be done.
Toddlers cant carry backpacks and the wife and i will already be carrying the toddlers.
If you have a young family, you REALLY need to consider these things before bugging out on foot or you may just be leading them to the grave.

One thing to keep in mind is that bright red crosses on medical supplies makes it easy for the enemy to see you. Likewise, flags patches on the chest or back do the same, but also tell the enemy where your off button is, right on the diaphragm.
Another thing you might want to consider in having a longer term pack 1 week+, a 3 day pack, and a one day kinda scout pack. That way you don’t have to lug around all that stuff if you don’t think you’ll be out in the field away from your MOB for long periods of time.

Enjoyed the video. Obviously you put a fair amount of thought into your pack.
Long term bugging out is very difficult. If anyone was planning on that as a strategy my suggestions would be: 1. Get more skills to do more with less. 2. Place caches so many of your items are already stored thereby keeping your load light. 3. Lone wolfs have a lower chance of long term survival.
    Keep making good content.

A good start.......But keep your secondary weapon on your person as well as your basic survival kit, including a multi-tool and your choice of fixed blade knife....it will save room in your pack. As others have said, the Life Straw is not the best choice but in a pinch it'll do. Again, keep it on your person. I would suggest a stiff MOLLE (surplus?) belt for your first line of items that will always be with you and lightweight to get you through. The rest of your pack is well thought out however with the above, you can fit a few more items in it to keep your morale up and you 🤙a bit more comfortable.

I really miss forums because they made it way easier to discuss things like this. But here are my thoughts.
In the chest pack add a protractor and a ranging card, they weigh mothing and are very helpful for plotting a route.
I know it doesnt weigh much, but the flat pack stoves are more for Bushcraft IMO. If the situation is bad enough for this type of system to be enacted, then ANY fire is a bad, visible fire.
I would put the Baofeng on you chest pack. Its going to get more use there as opposed to the bag. A small PTT earpiece so you can listen to emergency channels without it being too loud.
Depending on your location, having a gil net is far more productive than regular fishing. If the S has hit the F, then I'm imagining Game Wardens being a little busy. So its a good idea to know how to weave one, and how to make a shuttle to do so.
Being in Idaho I would very much consider a better sleeping bag, as well as am air pad. A synthetic down quilt will pack down just as small, and be quite a bit warmer. You can make one yourself with a very basic sewing machine if you dont want to buy one.
The freeze dried food is great, but youll run out. Dont forget some basics for baking, spices, and for food (meat) preservation. Also, a dehydrator and your left over spaghetti is cheaper, and just as small and light.
I won't harp on the rifle because its been beat to death lol. But I will also add that NODs are a super power. You've got good gear, and a lot of money invested into it. A PVS 14 with a decent Tube can be had for $2-2500 and its literally a super power.
Hopefully none of this comes off as rude, great video!
Edit: MORE SOCKS! At least 2 more pair, and I hope those are nice wool socks.

I love your videos but i have 2 gripes to help you. One, your irons on your AR are not set up properly. No matter what anyone thinks. The front irons are meant to be as far up as it can go and the the rear irons are meant to be as far back as they go. Also, im an EMT. From what i saw in your medical kit, you need more trauma dressings. An Israeli bandage doesnt do anything but compress the wound and bandages so you dont have to do it yourseld. You need quick clot dressings and roller gauze at a minimum. Id also recomment some 4x4 gauze and one tourniquet per limb.

@@blakemendoza6529 thanks for the advice, I’ll definitely put more gauze in the med kit.. You got skills with putting that intro together. Great job. The load out is pretty good. Probably would drop a few items to make room for the weight of a warmer sleeping bag. One item I've really come to like is my pack cover from Beez Combat Systems. They work very well. It'll give you better concealment when moving. I need to buy the second snare wire from you. And...thanks for reminding me about the trip wire. Have great week!

Good start to such a kit-how far do you train with that loadout? Are you physically able to carry all that gear 5 miles, 10 miles, 100+ miles, living in the bush for days, weeks etc? I realize the suck factor of inch or bug out, it’s both physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting, which can lead to many health issues depending on how long and far you have to spend “out there”.
