City Sailing Sail Man Overboard Board using your engine
This is a demonstration on Man/Woman/Dog/Hat Overboard by using the method of a controlled tack and not touching anything and then using the engine to glide in sideways towards the object in the water.
People will say it is easy in these conditions, it is a demonstration to show the method.
We do not cover how to get the person back in the vessel, this will be covered later.
This method is different for different vessels, we had a go in a F40 which was difficult to stop as the jib sails well when backed!
I have found this to work well on square riggers, salt training vessels as well as our old Sigmas
